Do you know what happens when you're in a room by yourself?
0:03
The doors close. You have no companionship, no company.
0:09
You feel a sense of darkness.
0:13
Do you know what it takes to problem solve in that situation of dimness,
0:21
of hopelessness, of loneliness?
0:24
Do you know what it takes to come out of feeling the weight of disappointments,
0:34
the depth of feeling like you do not belong,
0:38
the heaviness of feeling like a burden to everyone you meet,
0:46
even when they smile in your face and tells you they appreciate your presence.
0:51
But you always leave a feeling like you are never enough.
0:57
So you're in this room isolated either by choice or by circumstances.
1:05
Do you know what it takes for you to get out of that situation to get up just
1:13
to get up the simple act of getting up?
1:17
Do you know what it takes blocks to then elevate your physical body to open
1:26
the door and to step out of that room,
1:30
when no one else is around, when you have no one to brainstorm with,
1:35
when you have no one to say, to be a back and forth.
1:41
No one to give you the feedback, and you're in that space by yourself and you
1:46
have to figure it out, do you understand what that takes?
1:50
What it takes is resilience. What it takes,
1:55
is the ability to turn every unfortunate event and make it something special
2:02
and make it into to a driving force that creates better opportunities for you.
2:09
What it takes is a mindset shift.
2:14
What it takes is a belief in yourself. And that belief may not initially be
2:20
there, but when you decide to just stand up, to just get up, to just elevate,
2:28
it increases your belief in yourself just a little bit.
2:33
When you decide to go towards the door, it increases it even more,
2:38
and you open the door even more.
2:41
And when you get through the door, your self-belief increases even further.
2:48
And then you are able to say, if I was able to get up and out of that room,
2:54
out of that situation, out of that circumstances, out of that mindset,
3:00
out of that belief system. Then I can go further. Then I can do more.
3:05
Then I can obtain my goals and my dreams.
3:10
Everything you've been through in life has cost you something.
3:16
It's worth something. something so when
3:20
you come to a point where you're able to
3:23
share what you have obtained what you've gained understand
3:27
the value of what you're giving away understand the value of what you're sharing
3:34
understand the value of what you're selling you are first your product no matter
3:43
what it is you're are selling. You are first your product because you had to get to the point where you even
3:54
believed enough that you could either manufacture,
3:58
create, write, develop, market, promote that thing, whatever that thing is.
4:07
It was a journey for you to get to just that place.
4:12
And do not underestimate estimate the journey to get to that place.
4:19
Oftentimes what happens is we don't spend time evaluating and even reminiscing
4:24
on where we've come from, where we are, and sometimes we've forgotten what it took.
4:34
Get to the place that we are now. We do not even consider all the sacrifices.
4:41
We do not consider all the time. We do not consider the losses.
4:48
We don't consider those things. We just go. And sometimes you're in a phase
4:53
of life where you're operating on autopilot, that you don't even have time to
4:59
think about what you're doing. You know you have to survive and you do what it takes to survive,
5:05
and you get through to the next step, and you get through to the next step,
5:08
and you get through to the next one, and the next one, and the next one,
5:12
till you arrived at this place.
5:15
And where you are now is a collection of all the decisions you've made up until this point.
5:25
And every single one of those decisions cost something.
5:31
So again, Again, regardless of what it is that you are selling,
5:37
that you're giving, that you're marketing, that you're promoting,
5:40
it's worth something because it's coming from you and you are valuable.
5:48
Your experiences are valuable.
5:51
What you've been through means something.
5:55
Everything honor everything that
5:59
you've experienced and your resilience to
6:02
endure and your willingness to thrive
6:06
honor those parts of you but by standing with a statue of worth you are enough
6:16
you've been through so much and you're here it doesn't matter who wasn't in the
6:24
room, when you were by yourself.
6:27
It doesn't matter who discouraged you, who neglected you, or abandoned you.
6:33
They don't matter.
6:36
But all of those things work together for your good, so you honor them.
6:43
They cost you something, and so you honor them.
6:47
I'm Marsha Cartalli, and I help women recognize their worth by showing them
6:57
how to turn pain into passion and opportunities that will come from every single disappointment.
7:06
Have a great day.
