Die Farben Frankreichs" widmet sich den revolutionären Entwicklungen in diesem Zeitraum. Sie zeigt rund 70 Gemälde von Poussin, Chardin, Courbet, Monet, Van Gogh, Cézanne, und anderen. Sie entsteht in Kooperation mit der National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin und der Sammlung Rau für UNICEF im Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck in Remagen.
