Alba is an extraordinary woman. She has survived childhood sexual abuse, rape, and domestic violence, and now supports other women who have experienced trauma or abuse. She is courageous and open and willing to talk about subjects and experiences that are often kept hidden. Hearing her share about her journey from trauma to healing is incredibly inspiring.

In this episode, Alba and I discuss:

  • Surviving molestation and rape.
  • Facing traumatic triggers, memories, shame, guilt, and flashbacks.
  • The over-sexualization and exploitation of children.
  • Recognizing red flags or warnings.

Key Takeaways:

  • You don’t have to keep running away from your trauma triggers. When you find someone worthy, surrender, and start living again.
  • Realizing you can take time, regroup, and keep going, you aren’t stuck in one place.
  • Accepting and moving into positive and reciprocal relationships when you are ready for them.
  • Realization of the struggle you are living through and that you have the power to change it.
