Currently, there are deliberate attempts to erase Black History, and the contributions of Black people have made to American History, specifically Black Women.  
It is important that we say the names of Black Women and honor SistaNistas whose names and notable contributions some may not be aware of.  

We say the name of Elder Lucy Smith, and we honor and appreciate her Black HERStory.
