1:22
And let's get on with the show. All
1:25
right, because society have got the privilege
1:27
of talking to a new friend tonight,
1:29
Miss Megan Moonchild from Alberta, Canada. I
1:32
ran across Megan's Bigfoot story
1:34
that she shared in a
1:36
Facebook group online and
1:38
approached her and asked if she would
1:41
ever be up to sharing
1:43
her story on a podcast. And
1:46
thankfully, she did say yes. So, Megan, how's
1:48
it going tonight? It's
1:50
going good. Thank you for having me on your
1:52
show. It's a it's an honor,
1:54
honestly. Thank you. That's
1:57
great. That's great. And How are things up
1:59
in Alberta? Right now. I'm
2:02
currently. it's nice at the moment
2:04
where I met any way by
2:06
it depends on which part of
2:08
Alberta dealers or hooks right now
2:10
it's kind of spray and I'm
2:12
happy for it. Honestly want the
2:14
snow gone already? To live
2:16
in a pretty heavily wooded
2:18
forced in part of Alberta.
2:20
Them. Oh yes.
2:23
Absolutely yeah. Yeah,
2:25
Ah, the town. I live
2:28
in is called Rocky Mountain house
2:30
and were like literally we have
2:32
a view of the Rocky mountains
2:34
from mainstream. It's amazing. And like
2:36
surrounding us is like a glacial
2:38
river and just heavy heavy would
2:40
select a It's easy to easily
2:42
get lost out there and this
2:44
wilderness no problem honestly but it's
2:46
so beautiful. I'm you. Always lived in
2:49
the. Area. And.
2:51
Alberta, Sir. Ah,
2:53
I actually looked further north.
2:55
Richland slaves late also grew
2:57
up in High Prairie, but
2:59
like not in the town.
3:02
more likes on a quarter
3:04
sex and just nice little
3:06
ah. Heavily. Wooded
3:08
but beautiful farm in Lhasa,
3:10
grazing fields and sick woods.
3:12
so it was have been.
3:14
But there is definitely some
3:16
odd things that happened on
3:18
that land here in there
3:21
when I was growing up.
3:23
so. So really,
3:25
what? What kind of of weird
3:27
things to do? experience? On
3:30
feelings of being lots at times ah
3:32
I'm sad get like all really creeped
3:34
out under seal and like I wouldn't
3:37
see anything but i just had this
3:39
feeling legs something's watching the and like
3:41
my grandfather would be other works in
3:43
the the field or without you know
3:45
what the cattle or and the garden
3:48
or something like everybody had their job
3:50
so we all kept busy but just
3:52
when i be like how than to
3:54
see the cows sir where to the
3:56
garden I get a weird vibe in
3:59
them. Some. My dad. Is
4:02
a weird feeling up my spine
4:04
and. Sometimes
4:06
there were lights in the words
4:08
lay eggs in the distance. Every
4:10
now and then they were. You
4:12
see like wage very like light
4:15
colored. ah I'm weird sounds like
4:17
sometimes likes sounds that sounded like
4:19
oh no like you think like
4:21
you are in the jungle or
4:23
something out like where there's a
4:25
like monkeys or or the chimps.
4:27
Some way I don't know is
4:29
just. Ah,
4:34
Sometimes. You see, I sign every
4:36
now and then but like. I.
4:39
Always just thought it was like you know
4:41
the cows or horses or something by results.
4:43
I don't know they. this is weird things
4:45
that happened Thankfully my grandfather. He was smart
4:47
like the way that he had the. The
4:50
Farm all set up like
4:52
their word. Absolutely no woods
4:55
near. Any of the
4:57
windows like it's He had all
4:59
the woods back away from the
5:02
trailers so it's like nothing suggests
5:04
karma thing. you know, just who
5:06
are you know for like yeah
5:08
he was smart. he had all
5:10
these. These. Lights everywhere that
5:12
lit up the place. He could see
5:14
it really well at night and. He
5:18
always says said it was good so we
5:20
wouldn't trip or something because they get. Pretty.
5:22
Dark out there, so. Sincere
5:25
grandfather had experiences that led
5:28
him to that point where
5:30
everything was. You know the
5:32
heavy lights, the not being
5:34
mirrored vr the would line
5:37
things of that nature. And.
5:40
Yeah, I'm. Like
5:43
he didn't even tell me about
5:45
any as. Of his
5:48
experiences until I
5:50
approached him. On
5:52
on the day that I ended
5:54
up seeing a. And
5:58
the i guess other sasquatch swirl. whatever
6:00
you want to call it. Sorry, I'm a
6:04
little... That's
6:07
all right. That's all right. You
6:10
did share something with me before I interviewed
6:12
you that was very interesting. And
6:14
do you feel comfortable sharing a little
6:18
bit about your heritage? I think that
6:20
really helps provide some context maybe to
6:22
the stories you're about to share. Oh,
6:25
of course. I'm
6:28
part Cree, Indigenous,
6:31
on my father's side. I didn't
6:34
know a whole lot about my
6:37
culture until much later in my life.
6:41
I only just recently, last year, got
6:43
to finally meet my blood
6:45
grandmother on my father's side.
6:47
But currently, we're all working towards getting
6:50
our actual official treaty
6:54
certificate or whatever you call it. So
6:56
I'm excited for that. But right now, I'm
6:59
just kind of been on this spiritual
7:01
journey. It seems like my whole life. But
7:04
for some odd reason, I
7:06
saw strange things growing up
7:08
and sometimes had odd experiences I
7:10
couldn't quite explain. Such
7:14
a thing that a particular being
7:17
on the
7:20
back of my grandfather's property. Yeah,
7:26
my grandmother on my father's side,
7:30
she's considered an elder and she's
7:32
actually quite respected. And I adore
7:35
her. She's such a sweet lady. And I've
7:38
asked her questions concerning
7:42
my experience. I told her my
7:44
story and what
7:46
happened. And she
7:48
said that she thinks that it's like
7:51
a guardian. They're like can be spirit
7:53
guardians, I guess, or guardians of the
7:55
forest. But
7:58
also, like, they're are
8:00
good spirits and bad spirits. So
8:02
I learned
8:05
that, yeah, sometimes these things, they don't
8:08
even mean to appear to us. Sometimes
8:10
people just have a site. They just
8:12
one day are just minding their business
8:15
and they just see it. And it's
8:17
all shock. Like, you see me, even
8:20
though maybe it thought it
8:22
was in its own little dimension or
8:24
it was somehow hiding from us, doing
8:27
that predator thing
8:29
it has where it
8:31
tries to blend in with
8:34
everything and conceal itself. It's so
8:36
weird, the cloaking. But
8:40
yeah, my
8:43
experience happened at like 1030
8:45
in the morning. It was
8:48
pretty early. Well, not really,
8:51
I guess. But
8:54
basically my grandmother, she asked me
8:57
if I
8:59
would be willing to go and just pick some
9:02
wild berries and just fill this ice cream pail.
9:07
And I was like, yeah, because she was going
9:09
to make homemade pie. And I
9:12
absolutely loved her berry crumble. It was
9:14
so good. And so yeah, I
9:16
was totally down for that. And I
9:18
had my dog with me. He
9:20
was a border
9:24
collie. He was the sweetest dog. His name
9:26
was King. He was the best
9:29
dog I ever had. I loved
9:31
that dog. He was a good
9:34
protector. And he was with me
9:36
the whole time. So I didn't
9:38
feel concerned because
9:40
I was only walking like 15
9:42
minutes down the
9:44
cut. Because my grandfather,
9:47
there were these cut lines that went down. And
9:50
he'd keep them nice and cut short because
9:53
he'd left the cattle in there so he'd
9:55
have some extra pasture so they could have
9:57
new grazing ground. The
10:00
cows weren't there at the time. So I'm like,
10:02
heck yeah, I'm going to go get these berries.
10:06
I was only 12 years old. It was 1999. And
10:09
it was like the end of August,
10:11
like end of summer, like when everything
10:14
is in bloom and every like love
10:17
that time of year. But
10:20
anyway, so I'm
10:22
walking Kings with me and
10:26
I'm about to take a turn to the right. And
10:30
as I take the turn, I see
10:32
King, he just basically freezes in front
10:34
of me. And of
10:37
course, I'm usually more like
10:39
looking at the ground, looking
10:41
at the flowers. And
10:44
then I see my dog all of a sudden,
10:46
he freezes basically in front of me. And
10:49
I'm like, what's up, boy? What's
10:51
got you scared or whatever? And
10:55
then like I look ahead, it's
10:57
about 20, 25 feet, not too far. And
11:05
I see this black figure, like,
11:07
you know, it was hairy. I
11:11
thought it was a blackberry, honestly, like
11:15
just my
11:18
mind could not compute what I
11:20
was looking at because at this time I
11:22
had no idea what a Sasquatch was. Like
11:24
I mean, I didn't even watch Harry and
11:27
the Hendersons till I was probably 14. So
11:31
that's probably one of the first times I even
11:33
learned about what a Sasquatch was. But
11:37
when it stood up on two legs,
11:41
it was massive. I
11:43
mean, I have never ever seen
11:46
a person that big before. I
11:48
mean, I've gone
11:51
to like a WWE wrestling
11:54
and I saw the big show. I've
11:56
seen The Undertaker. They're
11:58
big guys. But. they
12:00
looked small compared to this guy.
12:04
And so
12:06
my dog, he backed up like right up against
12:08
my leg, just
12:12
tied against me. And he was just kind
12:14
of low to the ground, almost frozen
12:17
in place, but like he didn't
12:19
run away, thankfully. I
12:22
probably, I don't know what would have happened.
12:24
I just felt like, thank you to my
12:27
dog, you know, for not leaving
12:29
me behind. It's standing there looking
12:31
at me and its hair is,
12:37
reminds me of human hair, like looks
12:40
like human hair. It
12:43
was long, looks kind of
12:45
silky, actually nice, mostly. He
12:47
didn't, he didn't, he
12:49
didn't look like, really,
12:52
how would I describe? Sorry.
13:04
He looks so human. It's just
13:07
really, it's just really jarring
13:10
thinking back to it. So
13:15
the first look that he had on his face
13:17
that I noticed, like emotional
13:19
was kind of like mine. It felt
13:21
like we were both like, like
13:24
he almost had this look like, you see me?
13:27
He was like a very surprised for a moment look. And
13:30
then all of a sudden his face
13:32
just went completely like neutral, like from
13:34
surprise big eye to like, just
13:37
straight face. He
13:39
didn't look aggressive. He didn't
13:43
show his teeth or growl or
13:45
anything, you know? He was just very
13:47
quiet. He
13:49
didn't have any leaves or anything in his hair.
13:53
I mean, his hair was nice.
13:55
It was matted in a couple of spots, but
13:57
like for the most part, You
14:00
know., Mike He didn't look like. Really?
14:02
Old. He he kind of to
14:04
nice seem more like maybe middle aged
14:06
or maybe a little younger of in
14:08
his prime. Is
14:11
from the. To send
14:13
some a guy on a free.
14:15
His eyes were so piercing that's
14:17
because like they were like a
14:20
gold amber kind of color and
14:22
and dumb. They. Were the
14:24
most. They were so
14:26
big like that and they were skewed
14:28
slice the same. Must have been at
14:30
least eight to nine feet tall. Like.
14:35
Though a me I was twelve Ryan
14:37
it's it's literally a giant so any
14:40
same would probably look giants but to
14:42
me he looked pretty. They split liked
14:44
I feel like. In
14:46
my mind after all he is yours.
14:49
times you attempt. To calculate kind of.
14:52
Later. On down the line when I
14:54
was like sixteen a shot he is
14:56
a measuring case and try and figure
14:58
out like the relative heights just from
15:00
that tree that he was standing near
15:02
a me he was there picking berries
15:04
when I walked up on him and.
15:07
He. Looks really happy and content
15:10
until I came along. So.
15:14
That's. Fascinating.
15:17
Description of what you saw
15:19
a member, anything particular about
15:21
how the head, maybe the
15:24
shape and and or and
15:26
he's like. Yeah, ah,
15:28
I'm kind of like. A
15:32
sort of ponce but not
15:35
not not completely. ah more
15:37
normal looking head but justice
15:39
overall. just bigger. just a
15:42
bigger had like a masses
15:44
has a little like. Just
15:48
it's insane late.
15:52
I can't believe how masses he was
15:54
like his hands is see his friggin
15:56
everything in his dance. Our. even want
15:58
to talk about the other saying that
16:00
was just dangling there like dude,
16:04
but like what can you do? I mean,
16:06
it's not like you expect them to have
16:08
clothes on or anything. But
16:13
he was very calm. Honestly,
16:16
when he and I were, we were
16:18
like in having eye contact. I
16:22
was scared, but I was
16:24
also kind of curious because I'd literally
16:26
never seen anything like that
16:28
in my life and I'd always believed as
16:31
a kid. Some

18:04
maybe fairies did exist. You
18:07
know maybe these other mythological
18:09
creatures once existed and we
18:12
just don't know for sure.
18:14
And you know some things
18:17
are never certain until proved
18:19
otherwise. So and I
18:21
always just kind of I suppose
18:23
was a whimsical child in that way.
18:25
And so seeing this big
18:29
hairy wild man, this
18:31
giant literal giant, you
18:33
know standing there so
18:35
close. My
18:39
grandfather taught me as a child like
18:41
from a very young age because I
18:43
used to love hunting and fishing and
18:45
being outdoors with him. And
18:47
he was like if you ever come across a bear
18:49
or a cougar just stay very calm. Do
18:51
not turn your back to them. Back
18:54
away slowly. Do not run whatever
18:56
you do. So that
18:59
was kind of what was going through my head is
19:01
this looks like a human
19:03
and yet he looks like a
19:07
sort of animal like just because
19:09
the hair all over his
19:12
body and his smell too.
19:15
I mean at first I
19:17
smelled it a little bit as I was approaching
19:19
but I just thought that was cows. Like
19:22
genuinely I didn't it
19:25
was just musky and smelled
19:27
like like
19:30
wet dog a bit and
19:32
just earthy smells I guess.
19:36
Yeah like just a wild
19:38
animal smells how I would
19:40
describe it but it wasn't
19:42
over like overbearing like
19:44
even when I was standing there like I could only
19:46
I could smell in the smidgen bit but not very
19:48
much. It's
19:51
weird because like where I saw him so
19:55
like at this back part of the
19:57
property of the farm there's a river.
20:00
like a 15, 20 foot drop off. And then
20:02
there's the river and that's like literally the end
20:04
cut of the property, right? And
20:08
there's like a birch forest,
20:10
just all these beautiful white
20:13
birch trees everywhere at this
20:15
one part. It's incredible. I
20:17
used to love playing there because
20:19
I called it the forest
20:22
of ghosts and whatever as a kid.
20:24
And like sometimes I'd
20:26
find weird things like
20:28
I'd find trees very high
20:30
up just snapped off, you
20:33
know, like trees that are
20:36
not little trees. Some of them were
20:38
even still young trees, like not even
20:40
like dead and they didn't look like
20:42
they should have been dead. You know,
20:45
they, it was weird. And I
20:47
found sometimes like formations
20:50
with rocks, I guess. Like
20:54
I even found some bones at
20:56
one point, like a carcass of
20:58
a deer, some other
21:00
bones, like, like it
21:02
looked kind of like, like a
21:04
little animal graveyard a bit. But
21:06
my grandpa also said that he
21:09
sometimes would take like parts
21:12
of animals that he had butchered or whatever. And he
21:14
just throw the scraps out there,
21:16
you know, out there in the
21:18
forest. Why would he give back
21:21
to nature? Okay. Yeah. In
21:24
his mind, it, well, okay. At
21:27
first I didn't understand it either. But then
21:29
he told me later on that he did
21:31
it because it seemed
21:34
to keep them away from us. Like he
21:36
felt like if I just gave them some
21:38
portions from the garden, you know, food that's
21:41
like overly ripe or whatever, and just,
21:43
you know, whatever's left of whatever I butchered,
21:45
I'll just put it like throw it away,
21:47
you know, really far away from us out
21:50
there in the woods. There was a spot. And
21:53
he said that he felt like they
21:55
had, it was like an understanding,
21:58
like they wouldn't come into our space. And
22:00
they never did like I never saw
22:03
them ever enter the yard or nothing
22:05
Like I never saw the eyeshine come
22:07
any closer than from the woods. So
22:10
thank goodness Never
22:12
felt like I was being washed in the in my own
22:14
home. That was nice That's
22:17
the plus I
22:19
want to get back to your
22:21
grandfather a little later, but I also
22:24
want to Make
22:27
sure that we Give
22:29
your encounter the the
22:33
The full time as well And
22:35
I just have some questions for you.
22:37
So You know, you're
22:40
looking at the face you're looking at
22:42
in the face and it's always interesting
22:44
how some people will describe What
22:47
they see and I'm just
22:49
curious. What did you notice about the
22:52
the features of? The
22:55
face when you're actually looking at it he looked
23:00
he reminded me of like I've
23:03
seen some pictures that were old black and
23:05
white photos of some
23:07
Native American chieftains from
23:09
back in the day and Yeah,
23:12
he just remind me of like You
23:15
very Native American looking in the face, I
23:17
guess His
23:19
nose Was pretty was quite
23:22
wide and his lips were you
23:24
know quite wide like he's just whole
23:26
face was just so
23:29
big so His hair
23:31
was like swept back out of his face.
23:33
It uh Didn't
23:35
look messy or anything. Um, you had kind
23:37
of a beard sort of going on Didn't
23:41
look really all too messy But
23:45
of course it had been raining that morning so you
23:47
never know maybe he got a shower but
23:49
um His
23:52
eyes were very human to me they
23:55
were Actually, they
23:57
stood out quite a bit. Um his His
24:00
hair was very black, but it had a
24:02
bit of a reddish tinge to it. And
24:08
like I've heard people say that they can
24:10
look really, really dark, like a shadow dark,
24:12
but he didn't look that dark to me.
24:14
He looked just like a really
24:17
like a nice, just a black hair,
24:20
basically. That's that's it with some red
24:22
hue to it in the light. I
24:24
mean, we were literally standing there in
24:27
the lights and I could see his
24:30
features quite well because it was funny
24:32
and there was no cloud in
24:34
the sky, which to me makes it
24:36
even more insane just because like these
24:40
beings seem to be so cautious. So
24:42
the fact that he was very comfortable,
24:45
just, you know,
24:47
their crouch eating
24:50
away happily, like nerd
24:52
deal, you know, it was just kind of funny to
24:54
me when I look back and think about it. Would
24:56
you say that the the
24:59
actions it was doing as it was
25:01
picking the berries, would you say they
25:04
were more human like or more maybe
25:07
ape like or maybe a mixture
25:09
of the two? Honestly,
25:15
it reminded me
25:18
more of like, I
25:20
suppose how a human might just
25:22
be their crouch just eating. But I
25:25
mean, it could have been maybe
25:28
a little bit of a mix of the
25:30
two, but I felt like he was just
25:32
sitting there like a normal like any person
25:34
would just chowing down
25:36
and enjoying himself. Basically,
25:39
that was just kind of the feeling I got. I just
25:41
got the sense like I was interrupting him. Maybe
25:44
like I just came along
25:46
and like these beings,
25:48
though, they seem so in touch with their
25:50
environment. So I'm like surprised that I was
25:52
able to even like come across him at
25:54
all, to be honest, especially when you have
25:56
that really surprised look on his face, you
25:58
know, when he turned at
26:00
me, but yeah, I
26:03
remember also being very
26:05
quiet, just standing there, us looking at
26:07
each other. I felt
26:10
this weird feeling come over me
26:12
at one point. I was curiosity,
26:15
I lifted my hand very slowly and just
26:17
gave a little wave with my fingers and just
26:19
kind of like, like just to see what he
26:21
would do. I was kind of curious, childish,
26:26
whatever. I was scared, but I
26:28
was also like, are you a
26:30
person? Like I'm literally thinking to
26:32
myself, like, are you a person
26:34
or are you like a wild
26:36
animal? So
26:40
anyway, he gave, he gave like a grunt
26:43
basically at me. He just gave a grunt.
26:46
Just one grunt. It was
26:48
a deep kind of grunt. And I
26:50
felt like this weird sensation
26:52
in my body. It was
26:54
very odd, like a numbing,
26:57
tingling. I even had like this weird
26:59
ringing in my ear at one point,
27:01
which is odd. And yeah,
27:06
he just turned. It was
27:08
like when he turned his whole upper body
27:10
turned, you know, he had a very thick
27:12
neck. I will say this right now, like
27:14
physically he was wow,
27:18
built. Like, I mean, he looked like
27:21
he could take down a buffalo or something. He was
27:24
so built. Like his traps were
27:27
massive. His shoulders didn't
27:29
have much of a neck, but it like
27:31
he had a neck, but it was like
27:33
super thick. And it's just his traps. They
27:36
were just so fricking massive. Like it's ridiculous.
27:38
It almost reminds me of a bull or
27:40
something like, and
27:43
he looked healthy. He didn't look sickly or anything like
27:46
that. His skin was kind of a gray color. I
27:48
describe it as like a
27:50
gray color. That's interesting. The
27:52
actual skin tone was kind of
27:55
gray, you're saying. Yeah. Yeah. He
27:57
was like gray with like, wow.
28:01
nice black hair. It was kind of like
28:03
wavy. Like, you know, if you, if a
28:05
woman or a person has like long wavy
28:07
silky hair, it kind of looked like that.
28:09
Like on his arms and his
28:11
legs, it would be about, you
28:13
know, four to six inches long
28:15
hair, sometimes two inches long, you
28:17
know, like on his face, his
28:19
chest, it had not as
28:22
much hair, which is surprising, but it was
28:24
kind of like a little bit thinner on
28:26
his chest and his stomach. He
28:30
had hair down there, but it
28:32
didn't hide much, I'm afraid. Also,
28:35
you know, he had the thickest thighs
28:37
and arms like holy crap, bodybuilder,
28:40
like even, I don't
28:42
even know, maybe more than a
28:44
bodybuilder because like, that was just
28:46
crazy how like Eddie
28:48
Hall, one of the strongest men in
28:51
the world and he made him
28:53
look like small and
28:55
that's crazy. He's
28:57
like a heavyweight champion or bodybuilder
28:59
or whatever. So yeah, do
29:02
you notice any specific details
29:05
about the hands or the
29:07
feet? Yes.
29:12
So he looks like he had human hands and
29:14
feet, but he definitely had like hair on his
29:17
hands and feet, but not much.
29:19
Like he had some hair on top of
29:22
his hands, some on top of his feet,
29:25
but like for the most part, I could
29:27
see that it was just like a lot
29:29
of dark skin and like
29:31
dark gray skin. His hands and
29:33
feet looked a little bit rougher,
29:35
like understandably,
29:39
they're probably using their hands and feet,
29:41
you know, like
29:43
for everything, obviously hunting and everything else. So
29:45
I'm sure, but like,
29:47
that's probably the one part on his body
29:49
that looked the more worn
29:52
or rough, like his nails were kind
29:54
of like, they
29:56
didn't, they weren't sharp. They looked
29:58
like normal human nails. and
30:01
they were kind of maybe a little cracked, some of
30:03
them. But
30:06
yeah, like his hands and feet look pretty
30:08
human to me, honestly. I
30:11
didn't know his throw anything differently
30:13
other than his fingernails and
30:15
toes seem to be like more dark,
30:18
like almost black or something.
30:21
Kind of weird. But that
30:23
is very weird, actually. Same
30:26
number of fingers and toes as
30:28
a human would have. Yeah,
30:31
five fingers, five toes. Yeah,
30:33
just massive. Right. Yeah,
30:36
a lot bigger than we're going to
30:38
have, obviously. So you're
30:40
saying the individual, he
30:42
turned and then started to walk away then?
30:45
Yeah, when he turned his whole upper body turned,
30:47
it's like it's not like with a person
30:49
who could just turn your neck and then
30:52
turn your body. It was like a whole
30:54
turns and then he just walks into the
30:56
white birch forest and it's literally
30:58
like 10 steps. I
31:00
can hear the movement of
31:03
the trees, some cracks of
31:05
wood and then absolute silence,
31:07
like absolute nothing. And
31:11
that is the thing I noticed too, is when
31:14
he and I were apart
31:16
from each other, everything was so quiet.
31:18
I couldn't hear nothing. I
31:21
could hear my dog whimper occasionally
31:23
and I certainly felt like whimpering,
31:26
but I tried my best
31:28
not to do so. I just
31:32
didn't get a sense like he was going
31:34
to hurt me. I felt like if he
31:36
really wanted to, he could literally have reached
31:38
me and no problem and snatched
31:41
my little 12 year old butt up
31:43
and taken me. I do
31:45
not think my dog could have done anything
31:47
to stop him though that I think that's
31:50
just me. I mean, my
31:53
dog, he literally fended the farm
31:55
against bear, cougar, coyotes,
31:57
all kinds of creatures over the
31:59
years. But this was very
32:01
different. I could tell because my dog
32:03
was Shaking
32:06
just he seemed a little shaking like literally
32:08
and I'm shaking just talking about it because
32:10
I feel like I could feel like My
32:12
dog fear and I will also was like
32:15
just stay calm. Just stay calm Everything's
32:17
gonna be okay. I didn't get a
32:20
sense of danger I just but I
32:22
know like after that experience that Made
32:24
me think I could have been the end of me like
32:26
I could have been come a missing 411
32:28
or something and that would be the end of me and
32:30
I'm so glad that didn't happen When
32:33
you're watching the the Sasquatch walk
32:35
away from you towards the birch
32:37
forest Did you notice anything in
32:39
particular about? You
32:41
know how there's the way a person
32:44
will walk is gate Did
32:46
you notice anything about the gate
32:48
of the Sasquatches it walked away
32:51
from you? actually,
32:53
yeah, okay, so like It
32:57
seems almost like their ankle is It
33:02
seemed like it wasn't quite in the normal
33:04
place that like a human ankle would be
33:06
pardon me it seemed almost like Lower
33:11
or something and maybe It
33:14
was really odd like the way he talks like the
33:16
way he walks. I was very smooth and
33:20
Like I couldn't I could barely like I
33:23
could barely even hear him moving like he
33:26
it's crazy how quiet it was Some

35:00
he was gone, everything
35:02
in the forest returned to normal
35:04
and all the noises
35:06
came back. But it was like for that
35:08
moment when he and I were there together
35:11
interacting for that moment, it felt almost like
35:14
time stopped and everything around me. To
35:22
be honest,
35:25
I feel almost comforted, weirdly enough. I
35:29
feel scared, but at the same
35:31
time, I don't feel... Maybe
35:35
I should be more scared. But
35:38
I've also been curious about
35:40
a lot of things like supernatural
35:42
or cryptid related for a long...
35:44
A lot of years since I
35:46
was a kid. But the
35:49
fact that it even happened to me, it was just...
35:52
I was just a normal person until
35:55
that. And
35:57
then, of course, like... a
36:00
couple weeks later and seeing
36:04
him again and... Really? Yeah,
36:08
I saw the big guy again. He
36:11
was not alone either. He was
36:13
actually with like a female
36:16
and a little one. And
36:20
this is crazy. I mean, the
36:23
first site, the first time I
36:25
saw him, after everything returned to normal, I'm like,
36:27
I got to run back home. I got
36:29
to tell my grandpa what I saw. And
36:35
yeah, I can definitely tell you what
36:37
he told me if he'd like. Yeah,
36:40
anything that you would feel comfortable sharing.
36:43
Anything you feel comfortable sharing would be great. Okay.
36:47
Well, so
36:52
my grandfather was always a very practical
36:54
man, a very hardworking, down to
36:57
earth person. He
37:01
was my hero and I miss
37:03
him terribly. He was
37:05
always such someone you
37:07
could always turn to that would think
37:09
calm when things were
37:13
kind of crazy. And when I
37:15
got home, he was like,
37:17
where have you been? We were starting to get
37:19
worried. It's been like almost
37:22
an hour. And
37:24
I'm like, well, I
37:26
got to tell you something. And I wanted
37:28
to talk to him alone. So took
37:31
a little walk. And I
37:33
explained that I had grandpa,
37:36
grandpa, I saw a big
37:38
hairy man. He
37:41
was black colored. His
37:44
hair, you know, I was like, he
37:47
looked like like some kind of wild man
37:49
or something like he was just a
37:52
really giant hairy man on the
37:54
back end of your property down
37:57
where you know, all the
37:59
Saskatoon. are and the strawberries
38:01
and everything because we had loads
38:04
of raspberry strawberries, blueberries, saskatunes,
38:06
like you name it, wild rhubarb.
38:09
I mean, where we lived, we had
38:12
a lot of really yummy natural foods
38:15
that just grew on land. So
38:17
we were very lucky. And I
38:20
feel like maybe that was part of the
38:22
reason why they probably liked my grandpa's property.
38:24
And I think that's why they always kind
38:27
of lingered on the edges. And
38:30
yeah, I don't
38:33
know. That's just kind of my thoughts.
38:35
And plus, he did
38:38
sort of start giving them
38:40
leftovers and whatever now and
38:42
then. And it's just my
38:44
grandfather always felt like it's important to give
38:46
back to nature, that
38:48
it's important to... If you have
38:51
extra anything, make sure you can
38:53
give to the community and
38:56
give it back to nature, give back to
38:59
animals so that they can eat because
39:01
sometimes animals struggle and they
39:03
go through a lot during the winter. So
39:05
we were always kind of like that. I
39:07
don't know. He was always a very
39:10
good, gentle man, but
39:12
tough as nails, that's for
39:14
sure. But it's
39:17
just, I guess before I was born,
39:20
he said that
39:23
sometimes things in the garden would
39:25
go missing during the night. He'd
39:29
find stuff gone. We
39:33
had squashes that would go missing. We'd
39:35
have all
39:37
kinds of greens that would
39:39
go missing. I'm not 100% sure
39:41
on everything per se, because
39:44
he never really went into that detail.
39:46
But he said that
39:48
it got on his nerves and he
39:50
was like, screw it. I'm just going
39:52
to build a garden for
39:54
these, whatever they are, all the way
39:56
over, way away and just
39:59
hold. that that they'll get
40:02
the hint and just go there and
40:04
not take from our garden because he
40:06
felt like that scaling and there being
40:08
pests. He did not feel comfortable
40:10
with the notion of, because here in Canada, we
40:12
don't exactly have a lot for guns. Like, I
40:15
mean, we have like the occasional, you know, we
40:17
have rifles and stuff for hunting and he just
40:21
did not feel like it
40:23
would be wise to pull guns out,
40:25
especially a rifle like a 22 or
40:28
anything else. He just did not feel like any
40:30
of these guns would do a whole heck of
40:32
a lot. He didn't have
40:34
like big game hunting guns
40:37
at the time. So in
40:39
his opinion, he felt like if I do
40:41
something, what if it angers
40:43
these creatures and they start doing
40:46
things that make it really hard
40:48
to live there peacefully.
40:50
So he just kind of
40:52
decided, I hope that this is
40:54
enough that they'll just recognize, hey, this is for
40:56
you guys. Stay over there, basically.
40:59
And they did like they never, they never
41:02
came in the yard. Nothing went missing again
41:04
from the garden. Everything was fine. And sometimes
41:06
when there was extra crap, you just go
41:09
and give it to the cows and you
41:11
know, the pigs and the goats and all
41:13
that anyway, like, so
41:16
it didn't really matter. Like in his mind,
41:18
he's like, these creatures are going to come
41:20
and take the food from my animals. Or
41:24
I can just leave, you know,
41:26
some out there for them and hopefully
41:28
they won't steal from my
41:30
animals because like everything always happened
41:32
at night while we're asleep. So
41:35
my grandfather, his
41:38
parents were Norwegian, like he's Norwegian descendant.
41:41
He grew up in Canada, but he
41:43
grew up with a lot of stories
41:46
about, you know, a
41:49
lot of Norwegian kinds of stories. And
41:54
he believed that there were
41:56
things that existed that maybe
41:58
were being. beyond our ability
42:01
to understand or fully
42:05
comprehend, you know, even
42:07
spiritual things. And
42:10
so like for him, he just kind
42:12
of felt like I don't want war
42:15
with these things, whatever they are. He genuinely
42:18
just wanted to live
42:21
his life out there peacefully because
42:23
my grandma and grand, a great
42:25
grandmother, they were the sweetest ladies,
42:27
but they could be a little sometimes
42:29
he could get a little bit like
42:32
anxiety and he just did not think
42:34
that they would be able to handle
42:36
knowing that information and did
42:38
his absolute best to
42:40
keep it just to himself. Like he
42:42
carried this by himself for so long,
42:44
you know, and then I tell him
42:49
my experience and now all of a sudden
42:51
he's like, well, you've seen the big guys.
42:53
So I might as
42:55
well tell you some things and kind
42:57
of explain to you why I didn't
42:59
want you going to certain parts of
43:01
the property, like where certain
43:04
parts of the forest are. And I
43:07
didn't really know how I felt about you
43:10
going out there to pick those berries, to
43:12
be honest, even though it's not far, I
43:14
still had a feeling like, you
43:17
know, something was off, like, especially
43:19
because I was gone a little bit longer
43:21
than expected because they literally told
43:23
me, you know, you're only can be gone
43:25
for so long and then we expect you
43:28
back type feel. So that was
43:30
12. So like I knew the property really
43:32
well, but I was definitely the kind of kid that
43:34
was rambunctious and like to run off into the woods
43:36
and play and pretend
43:39
with my animals. Such
43:42
a nerd like that. But yeah, I
43:44
was very close with nature. Like I always loved
43:46
nature. I always loved running around barefoot.
43:48
Except for in the cow field. Nope. Right.
43:51
Yeah. Good job. But
43:54
yeah, like I
43:57
loved it. Like I was I loved it because
43:59
we had a giant family rock.
44:02
There's actually that's hilarious. Like not far
44:04
from the garden, there was a rock,
44:06
a giant rock and it was painted
44:08
with flowers on it. It was
44:10
so cute and I loved it. And
44:12
it was like a family project that
44:15
my mom and grandma did together. And it's funny
44:19
because there were sometimes were
44:21
things that were on that
44:23
rock, things that would
44:26
be wrapped up in leaves with,
44:29
I don't know, some sort of...
44:32
I'm not exactly sure how to
44:34
describe it. It's like sometimes
44:37
there was a pretty rock. Sometimes
44:39
there was some
44:42
pretty flowers. Sometimes these
44:45
flowers had medicinal properties,
44:48
I guess, like
44:50
wild lavender or sage or whatever.
44:52
It was interesting. I don't know.
44:55
Sometimes there'd be little things, like little
44:57
trinkets on there and my grandpa would
44:59
just take them and I'd be like,
45:02
I just wouldn't think about it really. He'd
45:05
be like, Oh, it's just a gift from the
45:07
fairies. But in reality now I think I know
45:09
maybe where those things are coming
45:12
from. It's very interesting. I
45:14
never quite understood it myself, but... That
45:19
is a fantastic detail as well. Yeah.
45:22
Sounds like the entire interactions
45:24
that your grandfather had were
45:26
very peaceful though with the
45:28
creatures. Yeah.
45:32
Yeah. He never felt threatened by them,
45:35
but he did say that that
45:37
didn't mean that they weren't capable of becoming
45:39
threatening. So he was very cautious man.
45:42
Honestly, that was
45:46
one of the things I always respected about him is he was never a
45:48
fool. He always thought things through
45:50
very, very clearly
45:53
before he did anything. And I love that about
45:55
him because somehow he managed to make
45:57
it work and it was kind of like a little bit of a struggle.
46:00
the secret for so long and I
46:02
kept it a secret. I couldn't talk
46:04
to anybody but him. I talked to
46:06
my mom eventually about it, but it
46:08
took me years before I
46:10
finally opened up to her about it. Then
46:16
my second experience happened and that was
46:18
crazy. I was with my grandfather when
46:20
it happened. Before
46:24
we get into that, a few
46:26
more questions for context. This
46:29
area, how close is your nearest
46:31
neighbor in this area? Would you say?
46:35
About a mile, mile and a half away. Oh,
46:37
I'm about 20, 30 minutes away from the town, High Prairie.
46:44
That's about how far it was. We're
46:46
out there pretty far. Gotcha. Pretty
46:49
spread out. All
46:52
right. Either
46:54
a lot of farming land or a lot
46:56
of forest. So
46:59
I am very interested to hear
47:01
how you and your grandfather actually
47:04
had a sighting together, which is
47:06
very poetic in a way really
47:08
that you both were able to
47:10
experience the family together. I
47:14
agree. Yeah, I never
47:16
really thought of it that way. But no, that's
47:18
true actually. Yeah, I mean, it's something we ended
47:20
up sharing together a lot
47:23
actually. It definitely
47:26
brought us closer.
47:28
Okay, I'll be happy
47:30
to tell you what happened.
47:34
It was a couple of weeks after I
47:37
saw the big guy the first time. So
47:39
it's like 930 in the morning
47:43
and we're in
47:45
my grandfather's old beat up
47:48
Ford truck. It's one of those old
47:51
fashioned farm
47:53
trucks you can take out there and
47:55
have fun and whatever. And we're
47:59
just driving. down the cut
48:01
and we're going to the
48:03
back cut of the property and we're
48:05
driving along the river. We
48:08
went to go check on the
48:10
cows because they were off in
48:12
this backfield and we're just talking
48:14
and enjoying the morning sun. It
48:17
was a beautiful day. I mean,
48:20
just perfect. Honestly, I can
48:22
still remember having the window
48:24
rolled down. And so
48:27
after we check on the cows, he wanted
48:29
to check on the calves, make sure everything
48:31
was going good, like the
48:34
younger cows
48:36
anyway. Excuse
48:39
me. So he turns around, we're driving
48:41
back and we're going to go back
48:43
home. So we're going
48:45
very slow. We're just casually
48:48
enjoying chatting, whatever. And then,
48:50
and I'm looking down
48:52
at the river off the drop, you
48:54
know, and well, basically
49:00
we, I ended up seeing the big
49:02
guy down there on the
49:04
other side of the river off
49:08
the drop, like, and he wasn't
49:10
alone. He was
49:13
standing there with
49:16
his hands in the water. And
49:21
he had another with him.
49:23
He had a little one as well.
49:27
The one that was bigger with him was a
49:29
female. Some

51:04
looked thick. I'm not going to
51:06
lie. She looked like broad
51:09
shoulders, just thick, kind of like
51:11
patty looking sort of. But
51:14
she didn't look like, in my opinion, she didn't
51:16
look that old. And she was
51:18
like a red brown
51:20
color, actually kind of a nice
51:23
color. And
51:27
the little one was like
51:29
in the water and she picked it
51:32
up. She leaned down, picked
51:34
it up in her arms and just held it
51:36
and it wrapped its arms around her neck and
51:38
shoulders. And
51:41
they were literally just stopping doing what they were
51:43
doing and they were just looking up at me
51:45
and looking up at the truck. And
51:47
again, I'm just seeing
51:49
them standing there. And
51:55
I'm like, what? Grandpa? Grandpa?
51:58
And I'm like leaning over and I'm like. and I'm on
52:00
the arm like grandpa, you need to stop the truck. The
52:03
big guy is down there. He's with his family.
52:05
He's not alone. Like I'm
52:07
like, please grandpa stop. We need to, I
52:09
need to show you so you know that
52:12
I'm not lying. Lacey,
52:15
and he's just not stopping. He's like,
52:17
Megan, it's okay. Take a deep
52:19
breath. I could see him as we're
52:22
passing. I'm like, well,
52:26
he's like, I know he's there. And I
52:28
guess he's showing us his family. He
52:30
just didn't quite understand himself. He
52:33
just thought, oh, well, they're probably fishing or
52:35
something. And
52:37
I'm just kind of like, he has a
52:40
family. I
52:43
mean, he has this little
52:45
fluffy, he almost looked like almost
52:47
grill like sort of, but not
52:49
quite just like just really floofy
52:51
looking. The
52:53
little guy and I'm like, oh, I'm like, little
52:56
guy and he had dark hair
52:59
like his dad. He
53:02
looked a lot like his dad. He had like
53:04
kind of like a brownish
53:06
face though, more like his mom, but
53:08
he had like reddish,
53:11
dark brown black hair. It was
53:13
very interesting. And they
53:15
were just standing there next to each other and
53:18
the baby in her arms, just looking up at
53:20
us as we're driving by and. So
53:23
like my grandpa decides, he's
53:26
like, okay, Megan, look,
53:29
I think when you're a
53:31
little older, I will tell you
53:33
more about the big guy and
53:35
his family. He's
53:38
like, I just want you to know that
53:40
nothing is gonna happen as long
53:42
as you stay home or
53:46
you're with somebody, just be smart, basically.
53:48
Just don't go out in the woods
53:50
anymore on your own. If you don't
53:53
feel safe or comfortable, basically, he's like,
53:55
just be smart about it. And
53:58
he's like, these things have been here. longer
54:01
than us. Like he's like, I
54:03
have a feeling that
54:05
when, when I moved here,
54:07
you know, we settled
54:09
here. Maybe they had
54:11
been here or maybe they had
54:13
come through this area before. And
54:17
he's like, we are here. This
54:20
is their domain. This is the wilderness,
54:22
you know, even
54:24
though we have these fields and everything at
54:27
the end of the day, they live out
54:29
in the wild off
54:31
the land. And he's
54:33
like, they're very quiet
54:35
and private for the most part. I've
54:37
never seen them really ever. He's like,
54:39
I've only seen them a couple of
54:42
times, but like, it was
54:44
never for very long. And he
54:46
never had any violent experiences
54:49
either. But he did
54:52
say that the big guy, like he
54:55
felt as though he could
54:58
be very dangerous if he did anything
55:00
at all that he might think was
55:03
aggressive. So he just did his
55:05
absolute best. Like my
55:07
grandpa, he even like looked up some
55:10
information on champs or gorillas. He's kind
55:12
of wanting to try and understand what
55:14
the heck he was even looking at
55:16
because he himself like, he just thought,
55:19
Oh, it's a giant, giants are real
55:21
or like, you know, and then it's
55:23
like, maybe there's just like some kind
55:25
of ancient human that is
55:28
extremely true. And it's
55:31
not going to do with people like
55:34
maybe they're an ancestor, like maybe
55:37
they're an alien. Who knows? Like he personally
55:39
thought that maybe they were like kind of
55:42
partially spiritual being and partially
55:44
physical. And I think I
55:46
kind of agree with him, but I'm not 100% on
55:49
that. But
55:56
yeah, there was this one night is
55:59
this is really actually one of the creepiest,
56:01
weirdest things that I remember happening.
56:07
This is probably like a year later, but
56:11
it was nighttime and we would
56:13
have coyotes that would come
56:16
on the property. Sometimes we didn't even see
56:18
wolves occasionally. My
56:21
grandfather's farm was near an area
56:23
called Swan Hills. It was
56:27
very wild. There's hills miles
56:31
upon miles upon miles of wilderness. It's
56:33
insane how thick and dense it is out there.
56:39
There's just so much that you
56:42
can live off of the land.
56:44
Here, honestly, Canada has so
56:47
much diversity when it comes to plants
56:49
and animals. I really believe that these creatures
56:51
were living out here for the most part
56:53
just fine, but I can
56:55
tell from looking at the big guy that
56:58
I have a feeling their lives are probably pretty difficult
57:00
or pretty harsh. Just
57:04
the thought, but I'm not sure. I
57:09
would agree with you. What I've heard
57:12
about your area, it seems like a
57:14
very wild and the winters can
57:17
be very hard up there for
57:19
sure. Very brutal. Actually, that's one of
57:21
the things that my grandfather specifically told me
57:24
is because winters here can be so
57:26
brutal, especially where he was living. He's
57:29
pretty much out in the middle of nowhere.
57:31
He had to hire somebody
57:33
to come out with a
57:35
grader to do the
57:38
roads and stuff because our entire
57:40
road going up to our house
57:42
would just get snowed
57:44
so much. We definitely did not
57:46
want to get stuck out there because that could
57:48
easily have happened if we weren't smart. Thank goodness
57:50
he was a very
57:53
prepared man for winter. But yeah,
57:56
there were some very brutal winters that I
57:58
even remember as a kid. And
58:02
he said that sometimes
58:06
winters were so brutal that he would hear
58:08
almost like a sound of a gunshot going
58:10
off in the woods, but he was like,
58:12
not just a tree
58:14
breaking. Because sometimes if it gets
58:16
so cold, sometimes like little trees
58:18
or whatever, or branches
58:22
will snap off every now and then
58:24
just because it's so cold. And he
58:26
felt like, I guess, kind
58:28
of sorry for a lot of the
58:31
animals, especially these beings for whatever reason,
58:33
he just kind of felt like
58:35
we have plenty, we have more than enough, we
58:37
have so much in fact, that
58:39
if we're going to end up throwing stuff away,
58:41
and it's going to be a waste. So
58:44
he was kind of like, screw it, I'll just go
58:46
and leave all this crap
58:48
way far out in the woods away
58:50
from home and kind of as
58:53
almost maybe an offering to the land even
58:55
and just kind of be like here, this
58:57
is our portion, we're given back kind
58:59
of to nature, I hope this will do kind
59:01
of thing. Like he even told
59:03
me sometimes he just talked like, like
59:06
he'd be like, I don't know if there's anyone
59:09
here, but just in
59:11
case, this is for you guys, please
59:13
do not come to my home. Okay.
59:16
Like, it's so funny. Like he
59:18
would creep him the heck out. Like
59:21
he definitely believed that things could be
59:23
possible. But for him, even seeing something
59:25
like that was very jarring. He
59:29
just never really talked about it much.
59:31
He just felt like it's
59:34
something beyond his comprehension because
59:36
he was very, very old
59:42
school, excuse me, sorry, he was very
59:44
old school. Like he was just
59:46
a very hardworking person,
59:48
very, you know, not
59:51
the type to be
59:53
dreaming like me,
59:55
like how I was when I was younger. You
59:58
sound like a guy. who the
1:00:00
world needs a lot more people
1:00:03
like him, you know, that respect the
1:00:05
land and just a hardworking, good guy.
1:00:09
You're very lucky to have a grandpa like him
1:00:11
for sure. I was very
1:00:13
lucky too, actually very lucky. If it
1:00:15
wasn't for him, I wouldn't know the
1:00:18
difference between deer dung and bear dung.
1:00:22
And like just other hunting or
1:00:24
fishing like activities. Like he was,
1:00:26
he just always felt like nature
1:00:28
will heal you and it'll help
1:00:30
you get in touch with your
1:00:32
true self and make like bring
1:00:34
out the best in you because
1:00:37
like you have to push yourself
1:00:39
in nature to survive or to eat,
1:00:42
you know. So he was always kind of
1:00:44
like, don't ever kill anything you don't intend
1:00:46
to eat. Don't ever waste. Like he was
1:00:48
very much against wastefulness. Megan,
1:00:51
there was a few minutes
1:00:54
ago where you had started to bring
1:00:56
up that there was one night where
1:00:58
something very unsettling happened. Do
1:01:01
you remember, do you mind
1:01:04
sharing that? Yes, I would
1:01:06
love to. Thank
1:01:08
you. Thank you. So
1:01:10
what happened was there were
1:01:14
very large packs of
1:01:16
coyotes. There still are here
1:01:18
in Alberta and Canada. They
1:01:21
can be a real problem for
1:01:24
livestock. And so
1:01:26
at this time, this was a year later, it was
1:01:29
a nighttime, probably around I'm going to say 10 30
1:01:31
11 30 at night, very, very dark out. The
1:01:36
lights are on in the yard, but
1:01:38
beyond that point, pitch black. And I
1:01:41
could hear all the coyotes just howling.
1:01:45
But at doing normal coyote sounds,
1:01:48
and I could hear the dogs, you
1:01:50
know, they'd go out there to make
1:01:52
sure the perimeter was guarded. And that's
1:01:54
the coyotes knew that they weren't welcome.
1:01:57
Well, the
1:01:59
coyotes. were just making so much
1:02:01
racket. Like it went from being kind
1:02:04
of normal sounds like coyotes to
1:02:06
all of a sudden sounding almost like just way
1:02:10
more racket. Like it was just weird. It
1:02:12
was almost like alarm
1:02:14
sounds or something. And I
1:02:17
felt OK, this is what's
1:02:19
weird is there was this loud like
1:02:21
raw like
1:02:24
this all of a sudden and then
1:02:26
just absolute silence. And
1:02:28
I'm like, what? I'm literally I
1:02:30
was just had the window open and I'm
1:02:33
sitting my in the bedroom watching a movie
1:02:35
and I hear this and
1:02:38
then silence and no more coyote
1:02:40
sounds. And I see the
1:02:42
dogs come running back in the yard
1:02:44
and they just go and hide in
1:02:46
the doghouse. The other one goes and
1:02:48
hides under the trailer. And I'm like,
1:02:50
OK, that's weird. Years
1:02:54
later, I was just I've been kind of
1:02:56
thinking about it. And I was like, maybe
1:02:59
he was just sick and tired of all
1:03:01
the racket. I have no idea. Well,
1:03:04
that was not me. It wasn't my
1:03:06
grandpa. That did not sound like like
1:03:09
an animal to me
1:03:12
that I've ever heard. I've
1:03:14
never in a million years heard something
1:03:16
just such a loud, bellowing. It
1:03:19
wasn't like a roar, though, but it
1:03:21
was like a loud scream. Oh,
1:03:25
it is really wild. It
1:03:28
was like a really deep voice. It
1:03:31
was so loud. It was crazy. I
1:03:33
scared the crap out of me. Was
1:03:36
that the only time that you had
1:03:38
heard sounds like that from the woods
1:03:40
that you didn't recognize to be other
1:03:42
animals or? Other
1:03:45
than like tree knocks, occasionally I
1:03:47
would hear like loud, loud, loud
1:03:49
snapping sounds or loud,
1:03:52
like sometimes like a tree was getting pushed over sometimes.
1:03:54
And sometimes it would sound like a bat was being
1:03:56
hit against the tree. another
1:04:00
like a tree or something it would just echo
1:04:02
every now and then and but
1:04:05
like mostly it was just
1:04:08
sometimes just the weird feeling of being watched
1:04:11
sometimes I'd see lights out way out in
1:04:13
the distance I was just
1:04:15
like hey what the road is over
1:04:17
here and this is only one road
1:04:19
that comes in and out of this
1:04:22
place that's it this is literally one
1:04:24
singular road so why would anybody be
1:04:27
out there in the woods on
1:04:29
the very back part of the property
1:04:31
like why would their lights out there and
1:04:36
it was and I'm like better
1:04:38
not be people creeping like
1:04:40
my grandpa told me that every now and
1:04:42
then he'd see these weird lights sometimes and
1:04:44
they wouldn't be around much but like every
1:04:46
now and then you see like
1:04:49
these weird little orbs I guess
1:04:51
like one was big and look
1:04:54
kind of like the size of oh I don't know
1:04:56
like a grapefruit maybe but like
1:04:59
mostly yeah they just they were just always
1:05:01
really far away but he always said that
1:05:03
it was weird how they were just kind
1:05:06
of moving along through
1:05:08
the woods and then they'd just
1:05:10
be gone you know and he
1:05:13
also said that just
1:05:18
just the eye shine was creepy and
1:05:20
I agreed with him because it was
1:05:22
I wouldn't see it happen very
1:05:24
often but I definitely
1:05:26
saw it at least three different occasions
1:05:28
I saw like I saw a pair
1:05:31
of green glowing eyes they
1:05:33
were pretty friggin high up and then I saw
1:05:36
another pair which were the kind
1:05:38
of yellow glowing yeah
1:05:40
and that's
1:05:42
that's about
1:05:45
all I can recall for
1:05:47
that is seeing yeah that
1:05:49
color of eyes sometimes so
1:05:52
I didn't know if it was a cow
1:05:54
or what but like it was situated in a weird
1:05:56
part of the woods since the
1:05:58
cows in the field would always be a over like
1:06:01
in one section. And
1:06:06
the where the eye shine was was
1:06:08
situated pretty much right across from
1:06:11
my from my grandparents trailer right
1:06:13
across the road all the way
1:06:15
into the tree line like so
1:06:18
it's like they could see everything
1:06:22
that was happening you know like the entirety of
1:06:24
like the whole side of the trailer and the
1:06:26
whole yard. Some

1:08:03
sometimes I don't know maybe they were just watching because
1:08:05
they were bored I have no idea why they do
1:08:07
what they do I'm just glad
1:08:09
they never came in the yard because that
1:08:11
would have been so frickin scary seeing one
1:08:13
of the night Was scary enough
1:08:16
seeing him during the day. I Mean,
1:08:19
I don't know. It's just really jarring. It's
1:08:21
so it's just man,
1:08:24
you never think that something that
1:08:26
it looks human and And
1:08:28
this just seems so
1:08:31
human like that
1:08:33
massive that powerful that mysterious
1:08:35
could exist out there and
1:08:38
it's And
1:08:41
the fact that it keeps itself hidden
1:08:44
and it's so intelligent and It
1:08:46
obviously knows its environment better than we
1:08:49
do now like humanity used to be
1:08:51
in touch more with the land We
1:08:53
used to have you know
1:08:56
more respect for the balance of things
1:08:58
and be closer And maybe
1:09:00
we were closer with some of these beings
1:09:02
because like I've heard stories you
1:09:04
know of some native tribes having
1:09:07
them as kind of like wood like neighbors
1:09:09
of the woods and Most
1:09:12
of the time they just kept to themselves
1:09:14
But like they were recognized as like another
1:09:16
tribe or you know of people just kind
1:09:18
of wild people people that
1:09:21
preferred to live in the old
1:09:23
ways and Did not want
1:09:25
anything to do with us because I don't
1:09:27
know maybe they just saw the way we
1:09:29
treat each other over this Thousands
1:09:32
of years who knows, you know, maybe we went
1:09:34
to war with them thousands
1:09:36
of years ago and because
1:09:39
I've heard like, you know tales of
1:09:41
that as well that you and Definitely
1:09:43
people have had some very nasty run-ins
1:09:46
with these creatures and I could believe
1:09:48
it These beings seemed very peaceful. They
1:09:51
seemed more human than a or
1:09:54
animal to me They really did what
1:09:56
I've also heard stories of of creatures
1:09:59
that are genuine terrifying that look
1:10:01
like, well, like an
1:10:03
experiment gone wrong, like a monster.
1:10:08
And I've been told that there are evil
1:10:10
ones and good ones, just like there are
1:10:12
people that are good and evil. And
1:10:14
these beings somehow can, they
1:10:17
can tell what your,
1:10:22
like what your interest is in them, I guess. Like,
1:10:24
I don't know if it's true, if they can read your
1:10:26
mind. But I mean, I've
1:10:29
certainly heard tales of mind speak
1:10:31
and anything is possible. I
1:10:33
certainly felt some sort
1:10:35
of weird connection with the one that I
1:10:37
saw, the big male. And
1:10:43
years later being told, you know,
1:10:46
even by a medicine woman that
1:10:48
I just met randomly, she
1:10:52
approached me and she told me that in
1:10:54
a past life, you were a medicine woman
1:10:56
and these beings, they're like,
1:10:58
you have the sight to be able to
1:11:00
see things. And I'm like, okay, well, it's
1:11:03
nice to meet you. I
1:11:06
just met, but she was like,
1:11:08
I'm a medicine woman. I just wanted you to
1:11:10
know that I see that there's something, you know,
1:11:13
that you have some kind
1:11:15
of sight or something or some kind of
1:11:17
connection. And I'm like, okay. And
1:11:19
you know, it's just at the time, like, I mean, I've
1:11:21
studied a lot of, a lot
1:11:23
of things when it comes to spirituality,
1:11:26
religion, history. I
1:11:29
like, you know, biology, archaeology,
1:11:31
paleontology, all that stuff. I
1:11:33
think it's amazing, you know,
1:11:35
and it's good to learn about
1:11:38
our history. And I feel like we're
1:11:40
doomed to repeat the same mistakes if
1:11:42
we don't learn about history. And
1:11:45
I feel like these beings are a part
1:11:47
of our history and I don't feel like
1:11:50
it's quite right that so
1:11:52
much about them is kept a secret
1:11:54
or hidden by
1:11:56
certain government branches.
1:11:59
But I'm. I get it. I think a
1:12:02
lot of people might
1:12:04
not be prepared or
1:12:06
ready quite yet to
1:12:09
accept fully the notion that there
1:12:11
are other beings that could potentially
1:12:13
be more intelligent
1:12:16
than us in some ways. We
1:12:18
as humanity, we've evolved amazingly in a
1:12:20
lot of ways and we can dominate
1:12:22
almost any area of our planet, but
1:12:25
there are still some parts of it
1:12:27
that we can't. And
1:12:29
these beings, they know how
1:12:31
to at least coexist with the
1:12:33
planet. And I'm
1:12:36
trying my best to kind of, I
1:12:38
suppose, follow that example. Like my whole
1:12:41
life, I've definitely, I mean, I've seen
1:12:43
weird things like I've seen some shadow
1:12:45
beings before. You know, I've
1:12:49
had a dark entity that messed with
1:12:51
me once. It was
1:12:53
really scary actually, because it literally tried
1:12:55
to like, possess me
1:12:57
and that really terrified me. And I
1:13:00
was very lucky. Thank goodness. Like
1:13:02
I had some help praying
1:13:05
actually to God and Jesus really
1:13:07
did. Like I feel like that
1:13:09
really did save me
1:13:11
because for I was just getting involved in
1:13:14
a lot of stuff. I shouldn't have like
1:13:17
witchcraft and I just wanted to
1:13:19
understand these things. But
1:13:21
then I came to realize all I
1:13:23
need is God. All I need is
1:13:25
Jesus. All I need is to have
1:13:27
some faith and try my best to
1:13:29
be a decent person and live in the
1:13:32
moment and be grateful, you know,
1:13:34
for what I have. So like,
1:13:36
yeah, I'm
1:13:39
at peace and I feel that more than I've
1:13:41
ever felt. But for a lot of years,
1:13:43
I searched for answers. I wanted
1:13:45
to understand why is it that I
1:13:48
ended up meeting a being like this and
1:13:51
then seeing his family. And you know what, I
1:13:53
kind of feel like maybe that was a show
1:13:55
of trust or maybe it was just a random
1:13:57
act and I just random.
1:14:00
saw them there and they're just minding their own business
1:14:02
fishing, who knows. Have
1:14:04
you heard, I'm just very
1:14:06
curious about the area that you're,
1:14:09
I'm sure, have you ever heard,
1:14:12
have you ever talked to neighbors and have
1:14:14
they told you stories about how they've seen
1:14:16
things too? Or is this very like,
1:14:18
it's kept inside your family and it does
1:14:20
not get talked about? It
1:14:23
was kept inside the family. I actually
1:14:25
wish that my grandfather could have asked
1:14:28
our neighbors. That
1:14:30
would have been nice, but I don't know if
1:14:32
he ever did. If he ever did, he never
1:14:34
mentioned it to me. Sure.
1:14:37
Does the, does
1:14:40
the homestead still, is
1:14:43
it still owned by your family or
1:14:45
has it been passed
1:14:47
on to someone else? It's been sold.
1:14:50
It's been sold, unfortunately. Actually,
1:14:52
that's, that's what's weird too is the
1:14:55
place has changed a
1:14:57
lot and yeah,
1:15:00
I don't know. I don't
1:15:02
know if they've seen anything or
1:15:04
experienced anything there, but last I
1:15:06
saw the place was very much
1:15:08
changed. And ever since my grandfather
1:15:10
left, who
1:15:13
knows. It's quite isolated though, that's for
1:15:15
sure. So if they had any experiences,
1:15:18
I just hope that they're happy for
1:15:21
the floodlights that my grandpa still left
1:15:23
in the yard. And I
1:15:25
hope that they're doing
1:15:28
okay and that they're not having
1:15:30
any unwanted visitors or any issues
1:15:32
because my grandfather in
1:15:36
his way of coexisting with things, I
1:15:39
feel in the end really did work
1:15:41
out, but it doesn't always work out for other
1:15:43
people because I know that, oh,
1:15:45
hello kitty.
1:15:48
Sometimes, sometimes
1:15:51
these beings are not always friendly. And
1:15:53
sometimes in fact, they don't have a
1:15:57
must going on and they seem to be. decide
1:16:00
to come into people's lives
1:16:02
and torment them or watch
1:16:06
them while they're in their homes through their
1:16:08
windows and be creepers and that
1:16:11
sucks when that happens and I feel
1:16:13
great sympathy for people that have had
1:16:15
those experiences that have had
1:16:17
the daylight scared out of them by these beings
1:16:19
and I would like to believe
1:16:22
that There are still
1:16:24
good ones. I want to believe that I
1:16:26
don't know Maybe it's because I want to
1:16:28
believe they're still good in people
1:16:31
and I really believe that I have nothing
1:16:33
But I have mostly just faith that
1:16:35
in the end good will prevail that we're gonna
1:16:38
be okay as long as we all you
1:16:40
know actually come together
1:16:43
and Recognize how blessed we are because
1:16:45
we really live in an age where
1:16:48
you know less disease
1:16:51
Less poverty less everything than
1:16:53
it than it was prior
1:16:55
centuries and I just
1:16:57
kind of feel like We shouldn't
1:16:59
take for granted You know the
1:17:02
blessings we've been given and this beautiful world
1:17:04
that we live like I
1:17:06
don't want to be afraid of nature I don't
1:17:08
want to be afraid of going out in the
1:17:10
woods when I go camping I definitely sometimes get
1:17:12
a little anxious before going But
1:17:14
that's also because I'm like, I
1:17:17
just hope one day I don't come across another
1:17:19
one and it's not a nice one Like
1:17:22
that's that's kind of where I think now
1:17:24
is like I do not want
1:17:26
to come across any of these Special
1:17:28
entities or beings that might be demonic
1:17:30
like if it's a dog man or
1:17:32
something I do not want to see them
1:17:34
and I know they're up here in Canada
1:17:37
Just like Wendy goes all kinds of cryptids
1:17:39
aren't we lucky? I Meghan
1:17:48
I would be remiss not to
1:17:50
ask you Just
1:17:53
cuz I'm curious Have
1:17:55
you experienced anything else
1:17:58
besides Bigfoot? in
1:18:01
that area or is it just then
1:18:04
the Sasquatch creature that you
1:18:07
have experienced? Other
1:18:12
than me seeing some
1:18:15
shadow beings at
1:18:18
this one house that I
1:18:20
went to, the people that lived
1:18:22
there said that it
1:18:24
always had a very rank kind of
1:18:26
rotten smell in the basement and
1:18:29
they said that their house was
1:18:32
haunted and they were just
1:18:35
like a friend of a family. We
1:18:38
went there and I just
1:18:40
out of curiosity, I went down the
1:18:43
basement and it smelled really, really bad. And
1:18:45
next thing I know, I see this black
1:18:48
shadow figure literally moving from one side of
1:18:50
the room to the other right in front of
1:18:52
me and that
1:18:54
scared the crap out of me too. Also
1:18:57
I've seen little orbs
1:19:00
here and there as well in my life. Sometimes
1:19:03
I'll see a
1:19:06
weird aura above people's heads, but I don't
1:19:08
know what that is. Sometimes
1:19:10
it's just like a color, like an
1:19:12
energy sometimes. Like this
1:19:14
one woman who had an
1:19:17
accident, she ended up drowning and
1:19:19
I saw this dark
1:19:21
shadow hovering above her head and
1:19:23
behind her and that was really
1:19:25
weird. And then
1:19:27
next thing I know, she's like
1:19:29
in the river drowned and I'm like, oh
1:19:32
crap. And I guess just weird.
1:19:34
Sometimes I see these weird things and I
1:19:36
don't understand it. This has
1:19:38
been happening my whole life. For
1:19:41
the most part, thankfully, especially these
1:19:44
past years, it's been
1:19:46
very peaceful and normal,
1:19:48
thank goodness. I do live
1:19:50
in town. I really don't
1:19:52
want to live on a farm
1:19:54
again. Really I just, I
1:19:57
don't know. It's just kind of
1:19:59
a creepy idea. idea or notion that
1:20:01
these things could be
1:20:04
out there and I wouldn't know, or
1:20:06
I would know because
1:20:08
sometimes they seem to reveal
1:20:10
themselves to me for whatever reason, at least back
1:20:12
then. I haven't seen any sense,
1:20:15
thankfully, but who knows?
1:20:18
I'm still young. I'm only in my
1:20:20
prime. I still have more camping trips
1:20:22
to go on. But
1:20:24
you have some amazing, amazing
1:20:26
stories. I'm so thankful that
1:20:29
you were able to share them
1:20:31
with me and my audience. I mean, I'm
1:20:33
just blown away by the
1:20:35
family history that you have. And thank you
1:20:37
so much. Well, thank you so much for
1:20:40
coming on, Megan. And thank you
1:20:42
all for listening. Please

please reach out to me at bigfootsocietyatgml.com
1:21:17
or pass on my email. Here's
1:21:19
the list. All right, I'm going to use this space
1:21:22
this week to announce that I'll be
1:21:24
at the Sasquatch Summerfest in Oak Ridge,
1:21:26
Oregon as an attender. I won't be
1:21:28
presenting or anything, but I'll be hanging
1:21:30
out trying to interview people
1:21:32
that have had Bigfoot encounters. If
1:21:35
you're from the Oak Ridge, Oregon
1:21:37
area or surrounding and you've had
1:21:39
a Bigfoot experience, please contact me
1:21:41

1:21:43
was nice enough that if you

1:21:48
use code BigfootSociety and get
1:21:50
50% off the cost of your tickets,
1:21:53
which is a big amount. So code
1:21:56
BigfootSociety to get 50% off your tickets,
1:21:59
sasquatchsummerfest.com. and helps
1:22:01
out the podcast as well. A
1:22:03
special thank you to all the Bigfoot
1:22:05
Society Patreon and YouTube channel members. It's
1:22:08
your support that helps keep the show
1:22:10
going and I extremely appreciate
1:22:12
it. I had a
1:22:14
listener comment, hey what's a
1:22:16
current update with the
1:22:19
road to getting to full-time?
1:22:22
Well here's the deal. The
1:22:24
push as if you've seen on social media
1:22:26
is, well now I've kind of tweaked a
1:22:28
little bit. So by
1:22:31
my calculations, once we get 824 people in
1:22:35
the Patreon, we should
1:22:37
be good to go. So what
1:22:40
I did is we're gonna do it
1:22:42
a little bit differently. It's now adding
1:22:44
the current amount plus the
1:22:46
amount that are joining and
1:22:48
there's tons of people joining every day. It's wild guys.
1:22:50
So right now we're 176 members are in there ready
1:22:52
to go out of the 824 that
1:22:59
are needed in order for us to
1:23:01
go full-time. That puts us
1:23:03
at about 22%. So if
1:23:07
you've been putting around back and forth
1:23:09
the idea of joining the Bigfoot Society
1:23:11
Patreon, now's the time. I'm
1:23:14
telling you it's time to check it out. $7
1:23:16
a month starts. $15 a month as well. $7 a month is
1:23:18
a great place to start. patreon.com/the
1:23:25
Bigfoot Society and
1:23:27
if you can't swing that, please
1:23:29
just share the show with your friends and
1:23:32
make sure you're subscribed on your favorite
1:23:34
podcast platform and YouTube
1:23:36
as well. Thanks
1:23:39
again so much for listening guys. you
1:24:27
I can get on here and we can tell our stories. Maybe
1:24:30
there's somebody else out there listening that's too
1:24:32
afraid to tell their story. Maybe
1:24:34
this will give them the courage to come out
1:24:36
and now I feel so bad about it. Who
1:24:39
cares what anybody thinks? I know what I saw.
1:24:42
I know what's out there. That's
1:24:44
all I care about. Please
1:25:01
let people know. Please let
1:25:03
them know if you ever see one.
1:25:06
Please let me tell them
1:25:08
if you want to tell them to tell them on
1:25:10
