My name’s Louise and I’m your host. I’m an English teacher, living and working in London. My day job involves teaching English to people who’ve come to the UK to live here to make it their home. But the aim of this podcast is to reach out to people far and wide, and not just those who live in the UK.

Each episode will focus on a different topic – anything from culture to cooking, from pop music to politics, or even celebrities and science.

As I live in London, I’ve got a few episodes planned where I’ll talk about life in this great city.

Each episode of the podcast will be accompanied by a transcript – so you can read and listen at the same time. And that’s a great way to improve your listening skills.

I’d recommend listening without the transcript to start with just to see what you can understand, and then listening again, whilst reading, to check your understanding.
