1:46

We are going to be diving into cults, which I am really excited about Bree at our desk earlier.

1:53

You were like, I don't even need to research this topic.

1:56

I know everything I need to know about cults.

1:59

Cults interests me so much in there.

2:01

So many of them in they're horrifying.

2:02

And I think we may be part of a cult as well.

2:05

And I've been part of Colts, like shit in high school.

2:08

That kind of felt like cults. There's so many different types of Colts.

2:11

Have you ever been like a leader?

2:12

Oh, I, I would hope not.

2:14

I don't know. No, like you don't know, not have a bad Colt, maybe of a different group.

2:19

I actually Googled. Are there good Colts?

2:21

Well, I did Google before.

2:23

What are the best Colts?

2:24

But I only got like the most known cults.

2:28

Like I got the Manson family out of the bad products.

2:31

Good. Colt. I think people consider good cults has like religious groups.

2:35

It's just like a good color. It's true.

2:37

I saw like the difference between there's a lot of back and forth about the difference between a cult and a religion.

2:43

Like I think religion is more like, cause I was thinking in my head as Scientology a cult, right?

2:50

Yes. Right. Yes. But it's also a religion.

2:54

Like the Manson family.

2:55

That's just a cult.

2:57

Like there's no religion tied to that.

3:00

That's just one guy started a call, started a cult.

3:04

Do you guys know a lot about his background?

3:06

I Don't know a lot about him. This is like the one That

3:09

I don't know a lot about. So like I kind of was stunned because you would think like, not that he started later in life, but like he lit his school on fire when he was nine.

3:19

Like, oh, so this motherfucker in the early holy shit, he was, he was crazy from the start.

3:25

But what's crazy is that he obviously had all these issues.

3:28

Right. But then he was sent to an Indiana, all boys school at that school, he got raped with the encouragement of staffers.

3:37

So it's like, not only was he doing bad things, bad things were happening to That's

3:43

fucked up parchment from the staffers.

3:47

Yes. What do you think about people that say shit?

3:49

Like that's actually like bad people aren't born.

3:53

They're made.

3:55

I think that can, in some cases be very true.

3:57

Like, unless you're born without like a psychological, some people are just born wanting to be murderers and they're like psych psychologically fucked up.

4:04

But I feel like a lot of the villain stories and even superhero movies, they're like beat into being villains.

4:10

And I think that happens with a lot of people. Yeah. Because

4:12

that right there, that description is obviously Charles Manson is an actual psychopath.

4:15

Like he's legitimately been wrong and his brain is fucked up.

4:19

But I mean, of course your brain's fucked up if shit like that's happening to you with like the most pivotal time in your life where your brain is Well,

4:27

I think that he was fucked up before that.

4:28

That's why he was sent to that school.

4:30

And so then just worse shit happened to him, but he was already bad.

4:35

Like at nine years old, you're setting your score by Like,

4:37

if, if you train it, well, it'll be like a nice dog or it could be like this terrible.

4:43

Yeah. Or like if you train can always pivot Because

4:47

I feel like a kid who I feel like we saw someone like Oprah a lot, right.

4:53

Or whatever daytime show there's the kids that are putting their kittens in the microwave.

4:58

And they're like six years old that those parents are trying to make their kid into a good kid.

5:04

But their kid is just putting kittens in the microwave.

5:06

And you like Luca Magneta but guy fuck with.

5:10

Not,

5:10

it

5:10

gives

5:10

me

5:10

chills,

5:10

but

5:10

I'm

5:10

sure

5:10

I

5:10

don't

5:10

know

5:10

his

5:10

family

5:10

background,

5:10

but

5:10

I'm

5:10

sure

5:10

they

5:10

tried

5:10

to

5:10

train

5:20

them. Well. Yeah. I don't think anyone wants to raise a cat microwave.

5:23

That's the worst case scenario for your kid to be like, I

5:27

think that the most from my findings or like what I, what cult is like, I think the Manson family is obviously just like the most insane saying.

5:36

And also I started getting interested in it because of once upon a time in Hollywood, which I thought was a awesome movie.

5:44

Did you see? I never saw it because everyone said it was So

5:46

bad. No, that's the thing. We did see it in theaters and it wasn't bad.

5:50

People just didn't understand the ending.

5:52

Why, if you, oh, I'm just going to, I mean, I'm not going to, it happened before You

6:00

haven't seen the Oscar winning movie once a month on Hollywood, you should probably go.

6:03

Yeah. Like let's, let's get on that. But the reason I really liked it was because obviously Sharon Tate dies in real life members of the Manson, Colt go and kill her.

6:14

But in the movie they show up at Brad Pitt and Leo's place next door to where she lives.

6:21

So she ends up living in the end.

6:24

Oh. In the movie. So it's like an alternate Inglorious bastards, like Hitler dies at the end, like yeah.

6:32

Yeah. And she kind of, doesn't like, she doesn't have a prominent role in the film, but they show her throughout it.

6:38

So I feel like you just have to know the story.

6:41

And I feel like if you didn't know the story, then you were just like, okay, why the fuck did any of that happen?

6:45

It makes sense. But then that made me do a lot of research on like the spawn ranch, which I thought was just like a thing in the movie, but really it's a real life thing.

6:56

Really explain it, what is it?

6:57

So like, it was this ranch where they would film Western movies, but then the Manson family took it over.

7:05

And it consisted of basically majority females who were like, Lord in by like the hippie, you know, like I almost think of it as like a sorority, like, you know, like living with a group of friends and a mansion is like so enticing.

7:17

So they were kind of brought in by like this group, living mentality with drugs and just like, you know, it looked fun.

7:26

That's why it's also too. It's why hippies get a bad rap in general is because people think that all hippies are like members of the Manson family.

7:31

Because during that time it was, if you were a hippie, you were just like living off the land and not trying to subscribe to the man and not try to be a part of the government, like live off the grid.

7:39

And this group of people very charismatic with a, like a cute, cool seeming leader, whoever would like maybe they would get a chance to meet him.

7:48

Maybe they would get a chance to meet the higher up people in this community.

7:51

And a lot of them were discard like kicked out by their families because they're hippies or they're, or they're running away from something.

7:57

So they're like literally off the grid and they have nowhere to go.

8:00

So this family kind of brings them in and gives them support and protection in exchange for like murder.

8:06

Like they would have them like go out and murder on like Charles Manson's behalf.

8:10

So Charles Manson himself, I think is true.

8:12

He never actually murdered anyone himself.

8:13

It was all, everybody. It was all, everybody who did it for him.

8:18

I mean that enticing. How do you make someone believe that though?

8:21

That was also our fucked up because he was a white supremacists, like super fucked up.

8:26

He like an awful human being awfully.

8:28

I mean, obviously I

8:30

don't think he was, I don't think he focused, he didn't focus super heavy on the white supremacy stuff until like later in jail though.

8:35

Right? Like I think that at the time he was just like trying to kill people swastika on that heat.

8:40

But he did that in jail. Like that happened later in life.

8:43

But I think that, I mean, he was always the white supremacist, but I think he like leaned into that more like he went to jail, joined that crew, you know what I mean?

8:49

You don't have to like join a crew when you're in jail, you get to join, like whatever racist crew you joined and you joined the white, he must've Been,

8:55

he must've had to have been like a charming guy to get all of these people To

9:01

Follow him. Like Ted Bundy. He must've been like murders, Enticing.

9:04

And like, people really liked him.

9:07

That's so sweet. Got to be able to manipulate somebody with some sort of charm as fucked up as that is a horrible person.

9:12

You have to lore people in somehow.

9:14

And yeah, he, he is thought to have never murdered anybody or attempted to murder, but true crime writer, James buddy day wrote a book, hippy cult leader.

9:24

The last words of Charles Manson claimed that Manson shot drug dealer, Bernard Crowe on July 1st.

9:30

So like, and he survived. Okay. So he shot somebody and he survived and, and, but he never actually murdered somebody, which is fucking also crazy.

9:38

Like you're just getting everyone to do their job powerful.

9:40

You're doing, everyone's doing the dirty work for you.

9:43

It's also like, you know what? All presidents are Basically

9:45

Charles Manson. They just get everyone to do everything for them.

9:49

And they manipulate the whole fucking country and the voting Charles

9:53

man, pretty Much, they do the same exact fucking thing.

9:56

They get their little soldiers to go off to war.

9:58

Their hands are clean and they just manipulate everyone to vote for them.

10:02

Well, I E they're not murdering people that they might be the government, the government, the government up there, the government is basically a cult 100, but it's also like you guys remember the story of Alison Mac, the Smallville actress who got like roped.

10:19

Oh yeah, this is what I was going to talk about this, but the Brooklyn college.

10:23

Oh yeah, yeah. And next IBM. Yeah, it was a sex called and the main guy, Keith Raniere near, he like he Lord her in.

10:31

Right. And then when the people started getting on to them, they fled to Mexico together.

10:35

And my question is like, was she in love with him?

10:38

Like what makes you, there's got to be, you know, like a g.com.

10:43

Yes. Yeah. So listen to this. I was looking up the type of people that like get brainwashed, like who are the types of people that end up in Colts and things like that.

10:50

And it says personality traits of brainwashing targets can determine how effective the process is.

10:54

People have a weak sense of identity and tend to experience guilt.

10:57

Great. Self-doubt and black and white thinking are more likely to be successfully brainwashed.

11:00

So if you are like, like your parents neglected you a lot, or you didn't get a lot of attention or you are just like full of self doubt, you need that reassurance.

11:11

And you have somebody like Keith Raniere, like Charles Manson, like whoever telling you, like, you're amazing.

11:15

Like you're everything we need. You it's like that feeling of needing to be needed.

11:20

And given a purpose is what drives these people.

11:22

And it's honestly really sad. But then you think like, they're such shit people, why do I feel bad for them?

11:26

But Yeah, my family loves me too much for me to join a call too.

11:30

I'm almost like they're, they're a cult already.

11:32

I'm good. On the other ones.

11:34

Yeah. Yeah. True. What about a Jonestown?

11:36

That's a crazy Jonestown

11:38

to me is one of my favorite ones of all times.

11:41

That's I, I use the term drink the Kool-Aid like Once

11:44

a week, Jim Jones, I

11:47

use that to, I literally, I

11:51

thought it was like a thousand. You got like thousand people to move to another 900

11:55

more than 900 people died.

11:57

Oh yeah. Okay. So then it was, yeah. So yeah.

11:59

That's, it's literally insane, but he, that whole thing was, was they all poisoned themselves?

12:05

They just see a mass suicide.

12:07

Yeah, exactly. Like didn't want to like at the end.

12:10

Yeah. Like a bit like at the last second they were like, oh no.

12:12

And then they were kind of, then there was a little bit of a, yeah, it was a little bit of like a, a scuffle.

12:17

Like there was like people going Around

12:19

or like, didn't die.

12:22

What was that like laying on the ground yet, pretending to be dead on the ground.

12:25

What's Going to happen. If they Did, they were going to like descend into a new life, like, like a new, they basically go to heaven, but like Fucking

12:35

dead. And like these people are so I can't, I couldn't imagine falling for this and that many people it's insane.

12:41

There's gotta be, there's gotta be so many stories.

12:45

Yeah. There's so many stories. I feel like from the same time period of a lot of Colts, what about now?

12:51

Like what cults are happening right now that we don't even know about?

12:54

I thought that the Hillsong church was kind of like a cult for a little bit.

12:58

Nobody come from, nobody come from me on that.

13:00

But Carl lens, he had that, you know, a Lord him, like you start speaking to him and all of a sudden you're wrapped up in his beliefs.

13:06

Meanwhile, he's not even following his own beliefs.

13:08

He's out there. Fucking other people cheating on his wife.

13:11

Yeah. That Scientology, like, I feel like all of those, I kind of knew religion.

13:14

Like Hillsong is a new religion.

13:18

The annex IBM is like a couple of years ago.

13:20

Like this is, this is pretty new. But Keith Raniere, he specifically would let me see, let me find, I read this whole, like New York article about it.

13:28

And he told the women that the privileges of their gender had weakened then turn them into private princesses.

13:33

And that in order to be freed from the prison of their mewling femininity, they needed to submit to a program of discipline and suffering.

13:39

And this is after he like changed his tune a little bit later on and was like, oh, they were Gaslight, demoralize, sleep deprive and put on starvation diets, isolated from their friends and families subjected to scientifically dubious form of psychotherapy known as neuro-linguistic programming.

13:54

And you'd also just like force them to have sex with them.

13:56

Like it was chill like that. Which I mean, that's this literally this article is, is from this year a month ago.

14:02

And this happened, I remember when this happened in real time, because one of the people that's like involved in this, somehow the Bronfmans it's like of the Bronfman family, they're like a really wealthy family.

14:12

They are loosely related to like an influencer that kind of flows around Hannah Bronfman.

14:16

I don't know if they're like literally related, but her name got dragged through the mud because of it.

14:20

And, and then Alison Mack Opsys because of Smallville, but she, she got crushed obviously, but they were calling it like the influencer call, like, so people were coming in and like, and people were trusting it being like, oh, I know all these people.

14:34

I recognize them from as influencers from Instagram, like all this shit like that.

14:37

And people were coming into it. Like it was, it was honestly nuts.

14:39

I've never seen anything like it, but I was still working at the new Yorker when it happened.

14:43

And it was fucking crazy. That's insane.

14:45

And an influencer called sounds very fright.

14:48

How, how easy could It be though?

14:49

Do you think that they kind of already exists?

14:52

Like maybe houses are Colts.

14:55

Totally. They don't make shit as far as we know, but how quickly could Addison Rae start me?

15:00

Love her, but how quickly could she just like slip in some culture?

15:03

And then all of a sudden we're, it's a cult.

15:05

I would probably do it. That's what I'm saying.

15:08

It was like, no, you wouldn't even know that you're in a, they would just like no Addison said to do it.

15:13

Well, you know, I find crazy like celebrities now that have been in Colts, like Joaquin, Phoenix.

15:19

Right. He was in, he was raised in the children of God, Colt.

15:23

Yeah. And that sounds nice, but it wasn't nice.

15:26

Like the things that were actually happening.

15:28

And then they rebranded to the family of love, like four or five.

15:32

It's kind of like the people who have like, you know, when somebody says something really fucked up to you online, and then you click their bio or you click their profile and their bio says be kind with a cross next to it.

15:43

That's like culture, like family on God.

15:47

But then it's like sex abuse, yen.

15:50

The murder. Yeah. Literally. And what about kind of going on right now?

15:53

That new show on Netflix? My unorthodox life, like she would definitely argue that her whole lifestyle before was a cult in a very scary one.

16:00

They didn't let women do anything. I still don't.

16:03

That's. I mean, that's what the word, that's the Orthodox Jews.

16:04

They're so intense like that.

16:06

And I I'm honestly afraid of the orthopedics.

16:08

I mean, they run around bullies right now.

16:10

You can go down this gum, whatever, like north fourth, it's crazy.

16:15

Right. They just believe women can't do anything.

16:16

They can't read the same books as them. They can't dance.

16:19

They can't sing. It's like right Now

16:20

they're all to walk around by themselves.

16:22

Do You guys know when Charles Manson died Kind

16:26

of recently even dead 2017?

16:29

Yeah. This man was still living in, into Like

16:32

a wife pen, pal wife or something. Something Like

16:34

that. Remember We are in the trolls on the stand.

16:36

I think still her, she recently one of the girls, like recently, I don't know why Having

16:44

bitches while he's in jail. Like this man has a magical mystical spouse.

16:48

People are drawn to like this kind of chaos, like all the serial killers.

16:52

Did you guys ever watch mind hunter?

16:54

No. It was a really good show. And there were, they interviewed like all these serial killers, whatever.

16:58

But one of the, I forgot which ones might be ed Kemper.

17:00

I forget which one was getting the, like, made a comment about all of his like fan mail.

17:04

And he was like, what do you mean fan mail? Like, there are people who are like obsessed and like bloodthirsty for killers.

17:09

It's like a fantasy of theirs.

17:11

And they think like, oh whatever, you know, maybe I won't act on it, but it's like, I can have this pen pal.

17:15

Who's a fucking murderer. And it's literally insane.

17:19

What did that on Tik TOK? They love murderers, Serial

17:21

killers. That's fucking crazy. But it's got our bank season to Ray.

17:25

He was looking fucking hot, but not, not as great.

17:29

That's what I'm saying. Nothing. I don't like his actions.

17:33

He really makes you believe that he's Psychotic.

17:35

He's crazy great. And he's looking hot, but I

17:39

trust you. I don't care the hot, but he was, I

17:43

think I'm near the end. I had like three episodes left.

17:45

I think he's looking hot right now. He was Looking

17:48

attractive. Little.

17:48

I'm not saying his actions were hot.

17:51

No, but you want to Fuck him?

17:53

Well, Tom, in record saying that, I thought that Ted buddy, I'm sorry.

17:56

Zac Efron as 10 buddy was hot.

17:58

Yeah. It's that guy from which you wouldn't have hot ass.

18:01

Zac Efron play Ted Bundy. If Ted Bundy were not In

18:05

what he played, they didn't show any of that.

18:07

Right. And I see pictures of Ted Bundy. I don't think he looks hot.

18:10

I think Good servicing tickets.

18:12

The charisma with him.

18:15

Right? Jeffrey Dahmer, I think is a freak.

18:17

I think he does not look hot.

18:19

I mean, they're all freaks know. Oh no.

18:20

I'm just thinking of Ross Lynch.

18:23

Playing Jeffrey, Zac

18:25

Efron, playing Ted Bundy. That's the problem.

18:27

When they get hot actors to play The

18:30

men or is it Mendez? Menendez brothers.

18:32

They were hot and they killed their parents.

18:36

God, we can't be sitting here, but They

18:38

killed for good reason. I'm actually on the Mendez brother, Colt Mendez, Menendez brother.

18:43

That's like, I'm Fucking,

18:44

I would kill my dad if he was doing Reminds

18:47

me of the act.

18:49

Remember the show, the act With

18:51

Joey King with Joey king, gypsy rose, gypsy rose was right for killing her mother.

18:57

She shouldn't have been in Jail. I mean, she needed like She

19:01

needed to kill Cam fine.

19:03

Maybe I won't say she was right, but what I kill my mother.

19:07

Yeah. Yeah.

19:09

Pumping you full of drugs and you're Fuck

19:16

it. You gotta be a little creepy, But

19:18

she was like, your mom puts you in a wheelchair.

19:23

Your whole life tells you have cancer. You're dying. You can't walk.

19:25

Can't

19:25

have

19:25

her

19:25

diet

19:25

Coke

19:25

or

19:29

Pepsi. She couldn't remember Her mom wouldn't let her eat anything.

19:31

That was the craziest part.

19:34

I would have just reversed it, sedated my mom and strapped her in a wheelchair and she killed her.

19:39

So I think, I think the other guy for torturing, I torch slowly torturing her would have been more deserved.

19:46

Yeah. Cause that's crazy. Quick kill.

19:48

That's Easy.

19:50

Yeah. I bet you To

19:54

leave in here.

19:54

He's like, nah, Do

19:57

you know that? I, in my investigations and also people commented.

20:01

Somebody told me to look up the yellow deli.

20:04

If you guys heard of this or did anybody reach out to you?

20:06

Like, it's like something that started in Australia, but it's everywhere.

20:11

Like it's all around. And it's like literal deli.

20:14

It's like, it's actual deli sandwich shops.

20:16

And they're very delicious. People are saying that's really good.

20:19

But apparently it's, it's like an actual cult and they just have this like deli thing as a front.

20:23

And it's all about child abuse and shit.

20:27

It's like, it's like, there's young girls working there and they're involved in it.

20:30

They are connected over Christianity. But then apparently they it's like not good shit, but that's like currently happening.

20:35

Like, I don't know. What's like people yellow deli like, Well

20:40

nine now stay away from the yellow deli. The yellow deli.

20:44

When I looked it up, I brought me to their website for it to like make orders.

20:47

Yeah. Welcome to the yellow deli.

20:50

Oh, I don't want to go to the yellow deli.

20:51

I'm

20:51

scared

20:51

of

20:51

the

20:54

irrelevant. There's one at Chattanooga.

20:57

Oh, there's one in on one night.

21:00

W O N E O N T a one Nota one ETA is that New York was wanting to open pills, Opening

21:10

an investigation on the yellow deli. But I'll stand outside.

21:13

Yeah. There's one, there's one in Kyoto. Japan.

21:15

I feel like maybe I went there. Oh my God.

21:17

What have I been? So yeah.

21:19

So watch out for the yellow deli. People are Telling me I don't want to go near the yellow deli.

21:23

Okay. So we're talking a lot about brainwashing and having a weak mind.

21:26

And that's a scary thing. And I think I want to protect all you guys from that and from being brainwashed and that could be used with better help.

21:33

You know, there's a lot of stuff going on. We're struggling through a lot.

21:36

21:42

You can do that with better help. And it's a virtual therapy.

21:45

21:53

It's way more comfortable. I think if it's your first time trying therapy, it's like a good start instead of rushing straight into the office, which would scare the shit out of me.

22:02

So it's there for you. And it's very comforting.

22:04

I signed up a while ago. I'm seeing a lot of people sign up a lot of influencers.

22:08

22:12

That's horrifying and it's a lot cheaper, a lot more affordable.

22:14

So this podcast is sponsored by better help.

22:17

And our listeners get 10% off their first [email protected] slash hi, that's B E T T E R H E L p.com/.

22:26

Hi, What do you guys think about cults?

22:27

That like aren't technically called it's like music fan bases, like the, like the Ariana haters or the saline haters or the direction or stance.

22:37

I think that you do you stance BTS

22:44

stance, Love BTS stance.

22:47

And I love BTS. Yeah.

22:51

I also, I love every Stan account out there.

22:57

I've gotten attacked by so many stairs.

23:01

Somebody said Sabrina carpenter sands or my Latest,

23:02

I won't even mention the stand accounts.

23:04

If I Mentioned them, then they, They

23:07

fucking, they find you. They find you as well.

23:09

I'm not mentioning any Sandy accounts. I love you all.

23:11

We love Stanek. We love Stan accounts.

23:13

I used to be a barrier. They're crazy. I would say.

23:15

Yeah, I've never been. I've never been so riled up about like, I like, I love Taylor swift for sure.

23:20

I don't know if I'm so riled up that I'm going to create 15 accounts and like rally against somebody about it.

23:24

That's nuts. It's there. It's there.

23:27

I think that they're dedicated and loyal and they love that person.

23:33

And they have huge hearts and they're full of love psychological problems and they're fucking nuts, But

23:44

you know, crazy Is good.

23:45

We, we love nuts.

23:48

Same vein. What about like sports teams?

23:50

Like the bills, fans, Bills,

23:55

mafia. That's not even a coal you're in fucking mafia.

23:57

Bosley. I D you do you with the sports things because that's like a seasonal thing and it's competition.

24:04

Yeah. Like there's a purpose. There's a purpose.

24:07

Like Stan accounts that are just fighting for no reason.

24:09

It's like, you're not even competing. Like at least there's a game involved.

24:11

Someone's gonna win. Someone's

24:13

gonna lose. So, Yeah. Yeah.

24:15

That's true. Sometimes I feel like sports teams, the people who get so into it, who like, like burst their blood vessels in their face.

24:23

Cause they're screaming or they like smash all their shit.

24:25

Like that's what I think is crazy. Like I think they have shit going on at home and they're teasing it out.

24:30

Well, I think of Frankie Bradley with the Islanders and I think that as a great life.

24:34

Oh, but it's awesome.

24:36

Cool. To watch crazy passionate.

24:39

I mean, how do you get there? Yeah.

24:41

Have you ever Screamed your heart out over anything?

24:43

I don't Think so. Not like That.

24:46

No. I've never had the passion like no Over

24:49

what many of things really?

24:51

I'm very passionate.

24:54

I'm also very passionate, but Oh,

24:57

I'm trying to think of something else to beaver when I was Little,

24:59

but like Screaming

25:01

at sometimes swept up in a concert.

25:03

If I'm at a concert, it's kinda, it's exciting.

25:05

Like I'll scream. I screamed when I started out at banks the other day.

25:09

Oh yeah. Yeah. No that wouldn't get my blood moving like that.

25:13

That's not relevant.

25:15

Screamed. I screamed. I screamed for Baldwin.

25:16

Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber got engaged.

25:18

Oh, you screamed for that Video.

25:22

I like to find the little things in life you scream about.

25:24

Yeah. That's nice. Yeah. No way.

25:26

No One person. And if I saw them Sandler, I would scream and drop to my knees and scream and blow Him.

25:31

I'd blow them on drop to your knees and blow them to take them Off.

25:36

You just slap them on the ass.

25:39

Imagine the face.

25:41

Then I Just walk away. I crawl away my screen.

25:43

That's all I need. Have you ever Screamed as loud as you think you can?

25:46

Like, I feel like I tried try, but it doesn't.

25:49

I feel like at a certain decibel, I don't, I'm not Please

25:52

don't do it unless you're like out like on a beach or like yeah.

25:55

On a mountain, top on a mountain alone.

25:57

I wouldn't even want to do it next to anybody either.

26:00

I feel awkward. I try to yell loud.

26:02

Even. I feel like my voice like CA like cuts me off Point

26:05

Bad scream to yell at somebody name across the office and you get scared.

26:09

Yeah. And you're like brewery Brain,

26:11

and then you can't do it.

26:13

You Always fuck it up the first time I'm like Bree.

26:15

And then I'm like, Bri and it's, it's it.

26:20

I always have to let it go after the first one. Like, I'm going over there now.

26:24

I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah.

26:25

This, I

26:28

kind of warm up to it. Like I, if I'm getting loud, it's like I have to start low and then get riled up and then eventually I'll get loud.

26:34

I think.

26:36

Yeah. No, I don't think so. I don't necessarily think I'm loud.

26:38

I think sometimes I like if I'm drinking or something or if I'm singing or whatever, but it takes me a while to get there.

26:44

Yeah. I think it takes everyone a little bit to get there.

26:47

But what about for Colts?

26:49

What would you guys consider cults that people don't really think about or talk about like just cheerleaders.

26:56

I would say in high school, I think Sororities

26:59

and fraternities. Sororities about that separately.

27:02

Yeah. That's it. Neither of you were in a sorority, right?

27:04

Yeah. You are not. No.

27:05

I think back about the show we did, like during initiation and stuff, like in a basement room with, oh yeah.

27:13

Oh yeah. I was a shit. I was, I was, you have no idea how obsessed I was with my sorority, everything.

27:19

It was just like, basically everything I do is I just changed myself based on my surroundings.

27:23

So that was highball university.

27:25

The only thing to do is to join a sorority or else you had no friends.

27:28

And so that's what I did. And I played the part, like a fucking queen and we, the shit that we did, like we would go into our initiation was in a basement of like the fellowship hall.

27:39

So say we had like, the church was on top and there was like a basement basically.

27:42

Like, you know, when they like play bingo in the basement of the church is essentially that basically that nobody was actually nicer than that.

27:49

Like, it was, it had like a carpet and stuff. It wasn't so gross.

27:51

And it was like a really nice campus. So it wasn't like gross, but it was fucking weird.

27:54

And we would go down there and we'd like set up the white sheets, like all around.

27:58

So the whole room was covered in white sheets.

28:00

And then we would all have to wear white dresses.

28:02

Listen, really, listen.

28:03

We had to wear white dresses, white shoes.

28:05

And we had to like all stand in line.

28:08

We've just like chant for a long time. And then we'd have to miss Schommer.

28:12

We had to do yes. We had to do like three or four songs, like special songs that we had these like these like prayers from this book.

28:17

And like, we had to say all these different like words in Latin, like weird shit.

28:22

And then you're not supposed to be Telling

28:24

them probably not. I know that a lot of People

28:26

are like, well, I'm not telling you specifics, but that's a lot of, I think most sororities do it like that.

28:30

Like it is. Cause we, I know that the other girls, I was a Katy, the Zetas also did that.

28:35

Began is also did it. I think they were black dresses maybe, but the Zetas were white dresses.

28:38

So I think we all had similar experiences and we also all use like the fellowship hall.

28:43

Like we all just had the same shit. It was just like different words.

28:45

I understand. Like when people say like, if you went to a certain school, it was all, all people did was join sororities and grads have to.

28:52

Yeah. I never, I never even like looked for a college that like had a sorority or anything because I could literally never do that.

29:02

I just could never bring myself to do it.

29:04

I don't, I don't know why. Just the whole and to be told what to do.

29:07

I, yeah. I don't like to be told I'm the boss.

29:10

No, I'm a freshman.

29:11

You're a senior, but I'm the boss of you. And that's what you, Yeah.

29:14

You just, you, you do that. You wait in the wings charges, Thank

29:19

you. Just stay out of it. And you never have to deal with that.

29:22

And you Have your own friends we Don't pay for, and then you feel like everyone's just so fake in the sorority.

29:28

It's like, you're not even really friends. You guys all paid to be friends.

29:31

We're all fighting. Do you off the top? Yes.

29:33

Yes. It's a competition throughout college.

29:35

Yeah. I sort of, I half agree with all the things you're saying the pay to be friends thing.

29:39

I never have agreed because you don't pay to be friends with these people.

29:42

I didn't want to hang out with half the girls in my sorority.

29:43

Like I didn't, you know what I'm saying?

29:45

I was friends. Well, there was my sorority.

29:47

It was like, I want to say like over a hundred bitches, like it was a lot of bitches.

29:51

You know what I mean? I'm friends with all these hoes, but the girls I was friends with, I'm still friends with like, they're my like best friends for real, the paying for shit.

29:58

You would pay for all the shit that you had to do.

30:00

So you had to go to like all these events you had to go to like all these charity things you had to, you get t-shirts, you would get foremost, you would get parties with drinks.

30:08

And she's like, that's people like you're paying for friends.

30:10

Like, no I'm prepaying for like guaranteed 20 parties throughout the year and five formals.

30:14

So I can just dress up in black out and do whatever I want.

30:17

So I feel like people miss You're

30:19

supposed to be like bonding during all the shit you're doing Exactly.

30:23

It makes you closer. makes you closer.

30:28

But no, but it is. It's very it's Patti in Switzerland.

30:31

Yes, exactly.

30:33

You, you are friends with your pledge class, so you're friends with your grade essentially.

30:36

So again, it's your have like your own system within this writer.

30:39

You're not forced. You are forced to hang out with all of these bitches a lot of times, but you don't actually sit there.

30:43

And they're like, they're my sisters, like the girls who do that are the fucking freaks.

30:46

Like those are the girls you don't want to hang out with.

30:48

And they are just in there because probably their moms or in this room, you know what I mean?

30:51

I think maybe it's like the chanting that gets me.

30:54

Like, I there's a, there's a good amount of chanting.

30:56

It's not all, it's not forever chanting.

30:58

There's like a lot of like, like chanting together and like, like dancing together, like freaks me out for some reason.

31:05

Like it's something that I would feel like it needs to evolve.

31:08

Yes. You want a comfortable, The

31:10

chanting during recruitment sucks because that's, that's lame and you have to like hit, were you in a sorority?

31:16

I knew it. I was like, I know it was a bitch in here.

31:18

That's in a sorority. Not just me. Okay.

31:20

The chanting sucks during recruitment.

31:22

It's like that to me, felt like that was a full-time job.

31:25

I wish I had gotten paid thousands of dollars for like the fact that I recruited all of these fucking bitches into a sorority because I was like tall and pretty and easy to talk to.

31:32

Like that fucking is ridiculous. We had to learn all these things.

31:35

Wait, wait, wait, wait. Yes, you, you can't complain about being tall and pretty.

31:39

And you know, I had to talk to you.

31:42

I had to talk to like 700 girls in three days, time we didn't sleep.

31:45

We had to learn routines. We had to get costumes.

31:47

We didn't do all this. You sign up for.

31:50

So that's what I'm Saying. I wanted all the other fun shit.

31:53

That was the bad shit. So we had to do that. That was like once a year.

31:56

So we had to do that once a year. So that was the bad chanting.

31:58

But then the good chanting came in when we was, it was like bid day, all these hoes come in and it's like, you get the ones that you wanted.

32:04

So you feel accomplished like, yes, I got them, you know?

32:06

And then you get drunk and drive around campus as loud and obnoxious as possible.

32:11

All wearing, matching, shits, screaming, these chants, which a lot of those, those chants are like, what are you talking about?

32:16

Shoot bid, no bid day is so fucking fine.

32:18

Like you get high, you get in the cars, you scream them.

32:20

But those are the chants that like, that are dirty.

32:24

Like they'll sing the dirty chance where it's like, you know, you talk about sex, you talk about drinking, you talk about whatever, but you're fucked up.

32:29

You're like getting the girls fucked up and that's really, really fun.

32:32

And that like makes it worth it for like a little bit.

32:34

And then you get to like a Medi-Cal how bad Is

32:36

the hazing though? Cause like sound So it's like really physical, like abuse of like girls it's like psychological or It's

32:45

warfare. Yeah.

32:47

It's depending on it's different depending on it.

32:50

Well I'm sorry. Not mentally tough enough for it.

32:52

It's a little, it's different depending on who it is.

32:55

Like, I'll be honest. We weren't, we were never hazed physically except for drinking.

32:58

We were drinking. Was I like cubes on my own feet more times than I would like to have cried.

33:03

Well, I'm not a pussy.

33:05

So not often, but He's

33:07

this whole podcast is Kelly being like, I'm the toughest person in this fucking room.

33:13

Sorry. I think it's weird. And I would never want to join.

33:17

I just thought of like telling other people they're ugly.

33:19

Not even me being called ugly. The thought of being like, No,

33:23

nobody did that. You didn't let me finish. Nobody called anybody up.

33:25

I'm right here. I'm right here. Explaining what happened.

33:28

Yes. Guys stuff was always physical. They made them like play football, extra hard and like tackle really hard.

33:32

And they would like beat the shit out of each other, like stuff like that.

33:35

It was really stupid girls. It was just like drinking and it was very cliquey.

33:39

So you had to be like, it was, it was like, it's honestly like this fucking office.

33:42

It's where it's like working in a, in another job.

33:45

It's like going to high school. It's like going to college.

33:47

It's just being smart and making friends.

33:49

But a lot of girls get their feelings hurt because they're like not invited to like this part of it or whatever.

33:53

And that's where the mental shit comes in. And girls drop out a lot because they're like, well, they don't like me.

33:57

They're not nice to me. They're whatever. It's like, well, it's grow up.

34:00

I don't know, deal with it. I understand having to be in a sorority or fraternity if you're like in a school where that's the only thing.

34:07

So high plan was like 4,000 kids. So it's like, if you weren't in a sorority, you, you were either on a sports team or you were in a sorority fraternity or you transfer it like that.

34:14

Yeah. Just how it was. That's the only way I would probably be, have to be like forced into one, but I have two hazing stories for my friends.

34:20

They dropped it because it was like horrifying one is from a fraternity.

34:23

I probably can't say the school right now.

34:25

Don't yeah, no. So they, they, they were at the school, he was joining a fraternity and it was whatever initiation when they get hazed, like fucked on, they had a pin of baby goats and they had to each kill a baby goat with their bare hands.

34:41

And he was like, I can't fucking do this.

34:44

And he broke down and he like left and he obviously told a bunch of people and they like wrote a bunch of articles about it.

34:51

Tried to get the thing.

34:53

Can you like end a fraternity that were like, And

34:56

he kicked off all the, all the fraternities I was friends with were all kicked off now Was

35:00

that, and that was the horrifying one that was just like day one of like, they had to kill the baby out with our hands.

35:04

And then the other one was a girl and it was down south and she was joining the sorority and they made her sit on the washer machine.

35:13

And I don't want to say who, I

35:19

mean, but that's can I be honest? Right? That's the number one thing that has been told to every single person joining a sorority for the past, like 20 years.

35:24

Gosh, are they, are they make them watch porn and, and sit on newspapers until they like come and let's say, circle all this shit Years

35:38

older than me.

35:40

So It's just those to me are like, Well,

35:44

I believe that because there's no way that we've heard that story a billion times.

35:50

You had to happen to somebody. Yeah. Yeah. If she was already, I would say no fucking way.

35:53

Cause that's great.

35:54

Can I ask you this about your friend with the goat thing?

35:57

So we had a situation like that also.

35:59

I won't say who, but they, it was puppies similar thing, but it wasn't, you didn't actually kill the puppies.

36:05

Like it was a mental thing. Like that's the whole thing where they bring you in and they make you think you have to do this.

36:11

And obviously everybody opts out and freaks out.

36:14

But the people that like pussy out and drop out or whatever, and the people that like come back and are cool with it, like, oh, okay.

36:19

It was like all kind of a joke. Ha ha.

36:21

Even though it's not funny, it's obviously not funny. Like that's fucked up to like, make somebody think they would have to kill a puppy or kill a goat or something like that.

36:26

But most times they'll do it. Like I know they killed one goat because the head, I don't know, the president, he killed the goat and said, it's your turn.

36:33

But I dunno if he made everyone else kill them, but they left.

36:36

That's what I mean, like it goes through these guys' brains.

36:39

They tried it.

36:39

I had friends who, friends at drama school.

36:44

They had the, they made them sit in coffins all night.

36:47

They like tie them up in comments, but they didn't do anything.

36:49

But that they just made him sit in coffin, talking about fucked me up for sure.

36:55

They shut down like the whole fraternity thing, because this one kid, like it's like freezing and Syracuse and he had to have his hands in the snow and he literally got frostbite and lost his hand.

37:04

Like, Yeah, that's crazy.

37:05

Some yeah. And people forget too.

37:07

Like I was like sticking up a little bit for, for being in a sorority.

37:11

But I think that you have to know when shit is actually stupid.

37:15

Like you have to know when to call people out like that goat thing, your friend was right to leave.

37:19

That's ridiculous. That's horrifying to do that, to sit and put your hand in the snow long enough that you can fucking frost by tap out, dude.

37:25

It's not, it's not worth it. It's like, what are you doing?

37:27

You know what I mean? It's ridiculous.

37:30

I just don't get that out. What it is for like, what's the outcome?

37:32

What do you get from it? It's just crazy. And I know some of the bigger schools though, people the biggest join Sage one, the sororities it's like it's life or death.

37:39

I know I Devin's off camera here, but I know that like Penn state, no bullshit.

37:43

I'm sure recruitment. Cause it's, it's like so many people want to join, but there's also so many people that like go, so the pool is probably so big.

37:52

Like how many people would you say we're in recruitment?

37:55

Yeah. Yeah. We're in rush. Like we probably for, for recruitment, for me, it was probably like 500 girls going through recruitment each year.

38:03

Maybe not, maybe not even that many Sororities

38:05

and they weren't, my, they weren't horrifying or anything.

38:08

They were like normal. It was just an only way to make friends if you didn't play sports.

38:11

But I think at a big school, they're horrifying.

38:15

Probably. I know it, I knew they had, it was like over a thousand girls.

38:18

And like each like over, over a thousand girls trying to pledge each class, like each class was like a hundred depends on yet.

38:25

Who's like the highest wanting highest ranking sorority gets the most there's only.

38:29

Yeah. The quota thing was always, always an issue for us.

38:31

We had like a, a max quota and a minimum quota.

38:34

The minimum quota was always what we wanted to take.

38:36

And then, because like our, it was always like at the time that I was there, I think it's different now.

38:42

But at the time I was at high point, he was Katie and Zaida were one and two and we both had to take the most girls.

38:47

But that's how, like the more people you have to take the like weirder, the pledge class gets because then you have to, that's also based on grades.

38:55

It's based on like other shit, but cult definitely a call.

38:59

Yeah. It's, it's really weird. It's crazy.

39:01

It's really weird. All around Modern

39:04

day Called modern day called do you guys want to see if we're in a cult currently?

39:06

And I would love to, yeah, Let's do it right before

39:09

we find out. If we're in a Colt, I just have to say my number one priority is protecting myself, my friends and my family.

39:21

Okay. That's all I want to do in life is honor protect myself, my friends and my family.

39:25

And you know, who's gonna help me do that.

39:27

The people at taser, the people at taser believe that safer self-defense is better.

39:32

Self-defense it is duh, the taser strike light is a rechargeable high powered flashlight that can repel an attacker through its electric stun future.

39:42

So you come up on me, you weren't a balmy Bree, boom.

39:45

I got you with a stun gun and you're going to be fucking shocked.

39:48

Run for the Hills, running for the Hills.

39:51

And you're gonna be terrified because I just got you with my stun gun.

39:53

The taser strike light is a non-lethal self protection device.

39:56

That is a small and lightweight enough to carry with you or in your glove department or your purse or your backpack or under your pillow.

40:03

Like Brie keeps her, she has hers on her.

40:06

Yeah, she does. She keeps that thing on her taser strike light and taser strike light is available without a permit.

40:10

In most us states, you can get the taser strike light@taserdotcomwithpromocodebecausesavefifteenpercentnowattaser.com promo code.

40:19

Because once again, that is spelled T a S E r.com promo code because restrictions apply and you could see the site for details.

40:28

We obviously work at Barstool sports.

40:30

This is a, am I in a cult quiz?

40:33

Okay. Let's do it. Right. First question is, have you noticed that the group's ideas have filtered into all areas of your life work, social, personal life?

40:41

Yes. Go ahead and click.

40:43

Yes. Have your friends or family commented that you have changed?

40:47

Yes.

40:47

Have

40:47

you

40:47

noticed

40:47

that

40:47

you

40:47

spend

40:47

less

40:47

and

40:47

less

40:47

time

40:47

with

40:47

your

40:47

family

40:47

and

40:47

other

40:47

friends

40:47

more

40:47

time

40:47

with

40:47

the

40:54

group? Yes.

40:54

Do

40:54

you

40:54

find

40:54

it

40:54

boring

40:54

or

40:54

awkward

40:54

spending

40:54

time,

40:54

spending

40:54

time

40:54

with

40:54

people

40:54

outside

40:54

the

40:54

group

40:54

because

40:54

they

40:54

seem

40:54

boring

40:54

or

40:54

they

40:54

don't

40:54

understand

40:54

the

40:54

language

40:54

of

40:54

the

41:05

group.

41:05

Do

41:05

you

41:05

believe

41:05

that

41:05

outsiders

41:05

are

41:05

not

41:05

on

41:05

the

41:05

same

41:05

level

41:05

as

41:05

you

41:05

group

41:13

members?

41:13

Do

41:13

you

41:13

consider

41:13

that

41:13

the

41:13

group's

41:13

ideas

41:13

and

41:13

beliefs

41:13

are

41:13

the

41:13

way

41:13

forward

41:13

and

41:13

sorting

41:13

out

41:13

the

41:13

problems

41:13

of

41:13

this

41:22

world?

41:26

I mean, our ideas we would think are to save the world.

41:30

We're not, no.

41:33

No. Okay. Have you thought that if only everyone knew the stuff, the world would be a different place?

41:39

I

41:39

think,

41:41

yeah. Everyone Bought, mm wave.

41:43

Everyone knew like Everyone, like, like we, like, we all know our secrets, like how we act, how we like live, how we like go about the world.

41:52

Yeah. Like if everybody knew How to show sense.

41:55

Yes. Yes. Like, I feel like if everybody knew how to like deal with trolls and like how to have like a normal brain, like that's, I feel like we're all normal.

42:02

We are not normal at all. None of us are normal.

42:05

We've adopted it in a new way. No, we are All have to don't have normal brains That

42:09

would say, has someone close to you told you that they think you were in a cult?

42:12

No, I don't think, yeah.

42:15

No. I think it's disguised by job.

42:18

I see a lot of comments though. Barstool Sports is a cult.

42:20

Yeah. All right. When you ask yourself, am I at a cult?

42:23

You think straight away? Of course not. I would never join a call.

42:26

Yes. Yes. But I think that's how we all started this podcast.

42:31

How do you leave? Enjoy the cold. Yeah.

42:34

Okay. If someone criticizes the group or principles, do you have to explain why they are wrong?

42:40

Yes. Yes you do.

42:44

Okay. Do you find yourself recommending the groups, activities or principles for many different types of problems.

42:50

So like, like if somebody is having a hard time, do you reference like, oh, I was, I had this like hard time at work or, oh, we did this thing at the

42:58

at

43:01

Work. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Do you sometimes feel like, you know, more than the outsiders, about life, about people, about the world?

43:07

Yes. Yes. Obviously.

43:08

There's three more.

43:10

Have people said that you are pushy or obsessive about the group?

43:15

Honestly. No, not yet. I mean, I

43:17

wouldn't say that either.

43:18

when it comes time to, if somebody asks me to like defend or something, then yes.

43:27

But yeah. But no, I wouldn't say generally, is there a strong urgency to explain the benefits of the group and its activities to those who are critical?

43:34

Yes. Yes. So fast, last one is, do you ever feel bad or guilty for not behaving as the group says you should.

43:42

Our group doesn't really have Behave.

43:44

Yeah. That's also true test results. Let's say.

43:48

Hm.

43:48

It

43:48

says

43:48

you're

43:48

a

43:52

burner. You've come far and deep.

43:54

My friend, you have 10 points for 15 questions.

43:56

You are four 30, 3% pure.

43:58

The average of sufferers were 38% pure.

44:02

What does that mean?

44:03

I think, I think, yes.

44:05

I think the answer is yes.

44:06

I think this is how they're talking to us and I'd be like a pro Colt

44:10

talking to us in cold code.

44:13

Yeah. We're on a list.

44:15

We're going to be burner getting a lot of emails.

44:19

I have no idea what that even means.

44:20

That Means cult.

44:22

Yeah. It looks like, it looks like burner.

44:24

Culta free EIN. Okay.

44:25

All right. Yeah. Bottom line is the bottom line is We're at a cult foreign deed.

44:30

My friends now I forgot.

44:32

I'm happy. That's how most people in the Coatesville.

44:37

Yeah, I feel all right. Like I said, brainwash, I was in a call before I just changed to a different column.

44:42

Easily peer pressured. Yeah.

44:43

And I peer pressure Easily.

44:44

Do we think that peer pressuring and like, like joining a cult are a little bit like a little bit together.

44:52

Yeah. Well that's why when I, when Carlin's came to the office, I remember I looked at Fran and said, I don't even want to look at him in the eye or talk to him because honestly I will be swindled if I start talking to him.

45:04

That's true. So you have to know when to not even put your, do you remember that?

45:07

We talked about, Yeah.

45:10

So that probably would, would've just like, she don't swipe with you, but yeah.

45:14

Yeah. Also that, oh man.

45:16

Oh yeah. I feel like people, when he came in, people were like very cautious in the office.

45:21

Yeah. Carl Lentz, the Hillsong church head.

45:24

He's now disgraced though.

45:27

Grace pastor. Oh Yeah.

45:31

Disgrace. Disgrace. Let's get into the voicemails.

45:32

Cheat On his wife. Fuck that guy.

45:35

Fuck him.

45:37

Before we get into the voicemails, it's time for my favorite part of the episode where I get to put sunglasses on and look flock shape on the panel.

45:44

I would say it's not to toot my own horn, but thanks.

45:47

Nectar sunglasses as always. I'm obsessed with them.

45:49

They're amazing. They're polarized. They're only 50 bucks.

45:52

They're stylish. These are, I would say I can't ever decide.

45:55

These are my favorite of the other ones I have with the reflective lenses are my favorite do think that these ones are, my favorites are divas, right?

46:00

And I feel pretty sassy.

46:01

I feel pretty sassy walking around in these.

46:04

So I really, really appreciate them. But right now we have a deal going on.

46:07

We can buy one, get one free, which means you can get two for the price of one.

46:10

And we love our sunglasses. Obviously, if you go to nectar, sunglasses.com/high can take advantage of this deal.

46:15

Just go ahead and do it. Like, I mean, how many times do I have to say it every single week?

46:19

They're the best I love nectar. They're fantastic. Go ahead and do it for yourself.

46:21

Nectar, sunglasses.com/high.

46:23

All right, ladies, let's get into these voicemails.

46:26

Let's start out with, with a call that we actually didn't mention.

46:29

And again, I feel like I'm targeting, targeting Devin a little bit.

46:32

Unintentionally Penn state.

46:33

Noah, can you bring that up?

46:35

Okay. Because I think that, So

46:38

my name is Caroline. I'm from Philadelphia.

46:39

I'm calling about Colts.

46:41

So I guess you could say I was kind of in one, in a sense, I went to Penn state university.

46:48

And as you realize NATO, I know Maria knows, you know, Penn state versus everybody.

46:54

You either love it or you hate it.

46:56

I've never met anybody in my life.

46:58

Just kind of like Penn state, you know, you either, you hate it with everything you have or you are live, breathe, and die for Penn state and you know, right there.

47:08

And you know, when domination comes on, you're going to find a Penn state or sing along to it.

47:13

It's like, if I see Penn state on somebody's dating app, I swipe, right?

47:19

Like we're both in the same Colt.

47:22

It's such a cult when you're in it.

47:24

It's, it's freaky. How much people will to the desk defend school.

47:29

And again, I'm right there with it.

47:31

I love every second of it. You know, Penn state PRI die.

47:34

My kids are gonna go to Penn state.

47:36

My kids are gonna go.

47:38

And

47:38

I

47:38

know

47:38

Ray

47:38

has

47:38

been

47:38

there

47:41

once. If you guys haven't gone to Penn state, you should really go, you should try it out.

47:45

I promise you. Won't be disappointed.

47:47

And you'll, you'll fall right into the quote.

47:50

It's amazing.

47:51

Anyways,

47:51

love

47:51

you

47:51

guys

47:51

so

47:55

much. I love the pod for listening.

47:57

We are.

48:08

I know you're saying Penn state people. They just love Penn state, but I do have a champs black card.

48:14

So I feel like I've

48:16

been seeing your tattoo. We are on your chest after recruiting me.

48:20

They've tried Recruiting me. They try to bring you to Penn state.

48:22

I guess you are young enough still. What do you mean?

48:24

No, I, I I've just meaning like recruiting School.

48:28

Oh, and the School.

48:31

Not to go the Jonas brothers, like, Oh

48:34

yeah. That makes them So into that.

48:35

They Know

48:39

They know about, Okay. My, my best time went to Penn state and sh and I've been there.

48:43

A handful of times. And I, she was so weird about it.

48:47

I always thought it was fucking weird, but then I would get there and I, like, I had like seven Penn state sweatshirts.

48:51

So I was like, I gotta have them. All my shirts are the best.

48:55

They're so good in high school. It's a, yeah.

48:57

And people would be like, Oh, are you committing to Penn state?

48:59

And be like, no, no. I just love this one.

49:02

When Devin gave us those Penn state, all my Tik TOK comments where I see you in the Penn state, I'm

49:09

like, people are like, I love that you're in a Penn state.

49:13

People are so insane. I was, I was loving Penn state so much.

49:16

And then kinda like Joe pod, Jerry Sandusky situation happened.

49:19

I had to put away all my pens. I put them all up on the shelf for a while.

49:22

I was in college. While that happened, you had to put them up on the shelf for a couple of years after that one.

49:26

But PE people don't forget that Penn state for real, but, but no, I don't know any other school.

49:31

That's crazier. I mean, I'm sure every other school in a fucking dance, But

49:35

not like walls are crazy. Cause you feel like It

49:37

is a little crazy, but not like Penn state, the only other one I've seen this certain stereotype, I guess.

49:43

Yeah.

49:45

Okay. Relax, Mississippi, I think is like that too.

49:47

Also West Virginia. I think West Virginia, Virginia is pretty, they're pretty gung ho yeah.

49:51

Yeah. Roll tide. Big call Virginia tech.

49:53

Very gung ho All

49:55

the time. It's like Shaw, right? My bio of everything time.

50:00

Thank you. Same with we are it's exact same shit. We are.

50:02

We are. It's like, oh, you're what God can say was scholarship.

50:08

But yeah, there are called. Okay, let's go into manual labor.

50:12

Hi guys. I'm calling from Pennsylvania regarding Colts.

50:16

I thought I would share a little funny story about my school.

50:19

So I go to school and like the main mine in PA and I it's like a private school.

50:28

So it's Catholic. So we have to take a religion class, sorry, area a religion.

50:31

But

50:31

anyways,

50:31

for

50:31

my

50:31

one

50:31

year,

50:31

my

50:31

religious

50:31

religion

50:31

teacher

50:31

was

50:31

literally

50:31

crazy,

50:31

but

50:31

in

50:31

the

50:31

best

50:31

way

50:41

possible. And we were learning about Colts.

50:43

So specifically father divine peace mission and you know, really great way.

50:49

It was showing a field trip and we had to go work for the cult for the day we went on there.

50:56

I say, even though it was beautiful, I mulched for them for seven hours.

51:01

And all of my friends, we were completely sunburned and we did yard work and all of their busy work, but it was a literal Colt.

51:09

And

51:09

they

51:09

like

51:09

so

51:09

open

51:09

to

51:09

say,

51:09

it's

51:09

like

51:14

crazy. But even though I don't know, I thought I would just share that.

51:21

Love you all. Bye.

51:24

Yeah. Manual labor for a cult. That shit fucking sucks.

51:26

That reminds me of like, , you know what I mean?

51:30

Like, did you guys ever have to do community service for like for, for confirmation or whatever?

51:33

Like you have to, we had to, oh, smart.

51:36

I wish I was able to do that. I feel like I had to do so much dumb shit at my school that I worked at balloon festival.

51:45

Like we have a balloon festival in my town. I, I cut fucking tomatoes and onions and lettuce for like six hours in like the hot sun on this like field of an airport waiting for it to get in the coat.

51:57

No, well, no, I was in it already.

51:59

I was at a Catholic church called jealous.

52:02

All right, let's wrap it up with a boss babes.

52:06

What's up. Bitches is Wednesday from Boston.

52:08

I am calling to talk about cult and I genuinely feel like all of the MLM schemes are cult.

52:19

Like think about like every girl you've ever met that sells Mo Nat or Monet, whatever it is, that's shampoo.

52:27

Like they all think that they are doing God's work and they're actually just selling you like the shittiest shampoo of all time.

52:38

And every single one of them called themselves thoughts and all this other shit.

52:44

And it's just like, I don't know if it's like a cult mindset and I really need to know if you guys agree with that because I feel very strongly about it.

52:57

So let me know, love you guys.

52:59

And yeah, Couldn't

53:03

agree. More. Could not agree more. Everyone knows that one person from high school, that's trying to be the boss, babe leader.

53:09

And DM-ing everyone. Hey boss, babe.

53:11

So I have this brand new ingredient.

53:13

How are you doing girly?

53:16

Yeah. You've been singing on social amazing.

53:18

And they are just selling it to you.

53:21

And for a second, you're like, I'm thinking about it.

53:24

And then you're like, What am I doing?

53:27

The I'm so glad that people are finally woke on these pyramid.

53:29

Their pyramids games is what they are, which I think that they are also a cult-like, but I'm glad that people are recognizing now because when I was younger, it was like, everybody did this shit and everybody's moms did the shit.

53:39

So you couldn't like, you just had to do it.

53:42

Like, like I think my house, we had like pampered chef Herbalife, Mary Kay, Mary Kay.

53:47

Like all these fucking things.

53:49

Like there's like, what's the new one out now.

53:51

It's like makeup related. I can't remember. There's a bunch of shit that where it's like the mom age, where you would just get stuck with it and you'd have to be like, oh, I don't know.

53:57

This seems normal. And then you realize later it's a pyramid scheme.

54:00

Fucking like still Potter jewelry.

54:01

I accidentally got caught in one Stella and.jewelry.

54:04

I had it. I spent like $300 on a bunch of jewelry.

54:07

And I was like, what the fuck am I going to do with all this jewelry?

54:10

I'm not going to host parties. I'm not going to pass it down.

54:12

My sister house Fucking crazy. It was like, I'm just like workout shit that you like, put like a powder or whatever.

54:19

And she was like, if you sell a certain amount, like you'll get, they'll buy you a range Rover and then they buy it for you.

54:24

But then you have to pay for it. It's like a bunch of fuck shit.

54:28

I don't know. It's because they were uneducated. And now finally people know finally people know.

54:33

And also because the people that headed up are always like pushy.

54:35

Like everybody that I know it's like that have done this or the pushiest people.

54:38

I know You

54:40

can make $500 a day. So Everyone's

54:42

like, oh, they never needed the fuck alone.

54:44

We are going to be diving into cults, which I am really excited about Bri, at our desk earlier, you were like, I don't even need to research this topic. I know everything I need to to know about cults. Cults interests me so much and there's so many of them and they're horrifying. And I think we may be part of a cult as well. And I've been part of cults like shit in high school that kind of felt cults. There's so many different types of cults. Have you ever been like a leader? 0II would hope Don. I don't know. No. Like, you don't know. Like, Not at a of a bad cult. Maybe of a different good cult. I actually Google Right. Were there good cults? Well, I did Google before what are the best cults that I only got got, like, the most known cults. Like, I got the Manson Family. Yeah. The BAT That's not a good cult. I think people consider good cults as, like, religious Like, that's just like a good cult. It's true. I saw, like, the difference between there's a lot of back and forth about the difference between a cult and a religion. Mhmm. Yeah. Like, I think religion is more like because I was thinking in my head is scintology a cult. Yes. Right? Yes. Right? Yeah. Yes. But it's also a religion. Like the Manson family, that's just a cult. Yeah. Like, there's no real That's religion. Tied to that. That's just one guy. Started the cult. Started the cult. Yeah. Do you guys know a lot about his background? I don't know a lot about him. This is the one lot of that I don't a lot about. So, Char like, I I kinda was stunned because you would think, like, not that he started later in life, but, like, he lit his school on fire when he was nine. Like -- Oh, so this mother-in-law was in it early. Holy shit. -- he was he was crazy from the start. But what's crazy is that he obviously had all these issues. Right? But then he was sent to in Indiana, all Barstool. Okay. At that school, he got raped with the encouragement of staffers. So it's like not only was he doing bad things? Bad things were happening in town. We had That's insane. That's fucked up. Yes. There's encouragement from the staffers Yes. When What do you think about people that say think about people that say should, like, that say should, like, bad people aren't born, they're made. I think that can, in some cases be very think that can, in some cases, be very true. Mhmm. Like, unless you're born without, like, a psychological some people are just born wanting to be murders and they're, like, psychologically fucked up. Mhmm. But I feel like a lot of the villain stories and even superhero movies, they're, like, beat into being villains. And I think that happens with a lot of people right there, that description is obviously, Charles Manson is an actual psychopath. Like, he's genuinely been, like, wrong, and his brain is fucked up. But I mean, of course, your brain's fucked up if she like, that's happening to you. And, like, the most pivotal time in your life where your brain is I might have been informed. Well, I think that he was fucked up before that. That's why he was sent to that school. Yeah. And so then just worse, worse, worse, worse. Shit happened to him, but he was already bad. Like, at nine years old, you're sick of a school. People. Like, If if you train it well, it'll be, like, a nice dog, or it could be, like, this terrible, like, fun. Yeah. Or So, like, if you train it always to pivot because Because I feel like a kid who I feel like we saw someone like Oprah a lot, I feel like a kid who I feel like we saw this film like Oprah a lot, right, or whatever daytime show. There's the kids that are putting their kittens in the microwave. And they're like six years old. Mhmm. That those parents are trying to make their kid into a good kid, but their kid is just putting in the microwave. And you like, that's Luca Luca Magnata. Luca Magnata. Say that name. Luca Magnata gives me chill. Like, but I'm sure I don't know his family background, but I'm sure they tried to train him well. Yeah. I don't think anyone wants to raise a cat Micah Weimer. That's that's the worst case scenario for your kid to be like that. I think that the most from my findings are, like, what I what cult is, like, I think the Manso family is obviously just like the most insane insane. And also, I started getting interested in it because of once upon a time in Hollywood, which I thought was a awesome movie. Yeah. Because I never saw it because everyone said it was so bad. So No. That's the thing we did see in theaters. Mhmm. And it wasn't bad. People didn't understand the ending, which is why Right. If you I'm just gonna I mean, I'm not gonna this doesn't it happened to me, like, four years It's four years old, like, a talk You haven't seen that the Oscar winning movie once about that anyway. You should probably go watch. Like, let's let's get on that. But the reason I really liked it was because obviously, Sharon Tate dies in real life. Mhmm. Members of Manson cult go and kill her. But in the movie, they show up at Brad Pitt and Leo's place. Oh, okay. Next door. Next door to where she So she ends up living in the end. Oh. In the movie. Okay. So it's, like, an alternate Like, like, like, an in glorious bachelors, like, Hitler dies at the end. Like Yeah. Like, kill her literally. Yeah. Yeah. And she kinda doesn't, like she doesn't have a prominent role in the film, but then they show her throughout it. So Yeah. Mhmm. I feel like you just had to know the story. Understand. And I feel like if you didn't know the story, then you were just like, okay. Why the fuck? Did any of that? Yeah. It didn't make sense. But then that made me do a lot of research on, like, the spawn ranch, which I thought was just, like, a thing in the movie. Bri, it's a real life thing. Yeah. Explain it. What is it? So, like, like, it it was this rant where they would film western movies. Mhmm. But then the Manson family took it over, and it consisted of basically majority voicemails. Who were, like, lured in by, like, the hippie. You know, like, I almost think of it as, like, a sorority. Like, you know, like, living with a group of friends and manage it was, like, so enticing. So they were kinda brought in by, like, this group living mentality with drugs and just, like, you know, it looked finding that way. And it's also too. It's why hippies get a bad rap in general because people think that all hippies are like members of the Manson family because during that time, it was if you were a hippie, you were just, like, living off the land and not trying to subscribe to the man, and not trying to be a part of the government, like, live off grid. And this group of people, very charismatic, with a, like, a a cool seeming leader, whoever, would, like, maybe they would get a chance to meet him. Maybe they would get a chance to meet the higher up people in this maybe they would get a chance to need to, like, hire up people in this community and a lot of them were just got, like, kicked out by their families because they're hippies or they're they're running away from something. So they're, like, literally off the grid. They have nowhere to go. So this family kind of brings them in and gives them support and protection. In exchange for, like, murder. I think they would have them, like, go out and murder on, like, Charles Manson's behalf. So Charles Manson himself, I think is true. He never actually murdered anyone himself. It was all everybody it was all everybody who did it for him. Yeah. He's I mean that mean, that enticing. How do you make someone believe that though? It was also our fucked up because he was a white supremacist. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's like us saying it. Super fucked up. Be like an awful human. Yeah. It's awfully an I mean, obviously Bri don't think he was I don't think he focused he didn't focus super heavy on the white supremacy stuff until, like, later in jail though. Right? Like I think that at the time he was just like trying to kill people swastika on that Right? Like, I think that at the time he was just, like, trying to kill people. Oh, swastika. On it. But Well, that he but he did that in jail. Like, that happened later in in life. But I think that I mean, he was always wise premises, but think he, like, leaned into that more. Like, he went to jail, joined that crew. You know, I mean, mean? You don't have to like join a crew when you're in jail, you get to join, like whatever racist crew you joined and you joined the white, he must've know, I have to, like, join the crew when you're in jail. You have to join, like, whenever a racist crew, you join and join like He must have been he must have had to have been, like, a charming guy to get all of these people -- Definitely. -- to follow the same thing with, like, Ted Bundy. He must have had, like, murders. Yeah. Enticing. And, like, people really liked him. That's so strange. To be able to manipulate somebody with some sort of charm as fucked up as that is horrible person. Yeah. You have to lure people in somehow. And, yeah, he he is thought to have never murdered anybody -- Mhmm. -- or attempted to murder, but true crime fraternities Day wrote a book, hippie cult leader, the last words Charles Manson, claimed that Manson shot drug dealer, Bernard Crowe, on July 1st. So like, and he So, like and he survived. Okay. So he shot himself and he survived and Mhmm. And but he never actually to somebody which is fucking also crazy. Like, you're just getting everyone to do your dirty, powerful. Yeah. You're doing that. Everyone's doing dirty work for you. It's also like, you know what? All presidents are basically Charles Manson. They just get everyone to doing everything for them, and they manipulate the whole fucking concentrate into voting for those. And it's our charles medicine. Pretty much. They do the same exact fucking thing. They get their little soldiers to go off to war, their hands are clean, and they just manipulate everyone to vote for them. Well, I they're not murdering people that they might be. But they are They government The government's up to something. But the government up there, the government is basically Yes. A hundred. But it's also, like, you guys remember the story of Alison Mack, the smallville actress who got, like, roped up into Oh, yeah. This is I was gonna talk about this. But NXIVM, the Brooklyn cult. Oh, yeah. Yeah. NXIVM. Yeah. It was a sex cult, and the main guy, Keith, Reneer, near. Mhmm. He, like, he lured her in. Right? And then when the people started getting onto them, they fled to Mexico together. And my question is, like, was she in love with him? Like, what makes you there's kinda You know, like, dog Stockholm syndrome. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. So listen to this. I was looking up the type of people that get brainwashed. Like, who are the types of people that end up in cults and things like that? It says personally traits of brainwashing targets can determine how effective the process is. People have a weak sense of identity and tend to experience guilt, great self doubt and black and white thinking are more likely to be successfully brainwashed. So if you are like like your parents neglected you a lot or you didn't get a lot of attention or you are just, like, full of self doubt. You need that reassurance. And you have somebody like Keith Raniere, like Charles Manson, like whoever telling you, like, you're you have somebody like Heathrow near, like, Charles Manson, like, whoever -- People telling you, like, you're amazing. Like, you're everything, and need you. It's like that that feeling of -- Oh, we need to be able to meet it. -- and given a purpose is what drives these people, and it's honestly really sad. But then you think, like, they're such shit people. Why do I feel bad for them? But -- Yeah. -- my family won't take too much for me to join the call. Yeah. I'm almost like they're they're a cult already. I'm good on the other ones. Yeah. Yeah. True. But what about a Jonestown? That's a crazy one. Jonestown to me is one of one of, like, my favorite favorite ones of all time. That's I I used the term, drink the kool Aid, like, once Was that Jim Jones? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I I use that to, I literally, that to I learned that many people were in Like, you got, like, a thousand. I thought it was, like, a thousand. You got, like, thousand people to move to another. Mhmm. Yeah. Nine hundred more than nine hundred people died. Yeah. Oh Okay. So then it was yeah. So yeah. That's it's literally insane. But he that whole thing was was they all poisoned themselves? Mhmm. Yeah. Because they just It's like a mask. Yeah. Exactly. A lot, like, didn't want to. Like, at the like, at the last second, they like, oh, no. And then they were kind of then there was a little bit of a yeah. It was a little bit of, like, a a scuffle. Like, there was some of the people going around. Fake it or, like, didn't die in there. Yes. There is. What was that, like, laying on the ground? Yep. Pretending to be done. Is their belief what's gonna happen if they did that? They were gonna, like, descend into a new life, like, like, a new Yeah. I know. It basically go to heaven. You're like, just basically fucking dead. Yeah. Like, these people are so I can't I couldn't imagine falling for this. It's in that many people. It's insane. There's gotta be there's gotta be Not so many stories. Yeah. There's so many stories I feel like from the same time period of a lot of cults, what about now? Like, what cults are happening right now that we don't even know about? I thought that the hillsong church was kind of like a cult for little bit. Nobody come from me. Nobody come from me on that, but Carlin's. He had that you know, award him. Like, you start speaking him and all of a sudden, you're wrapped up in his beliefs. Meanwhile, he's not even following his own beliefs. He's out He's out there fucking other people -- Yeah. -- cheating on his wife. Yeah. That signology. Like, I feel like all those, like, kind of, new religion. I'm like, well, that sounds like it's in a new religion. I mean, that implies this the the NXIVM is, like, a couple years ago. Like, this is this is pretty new. But Keith or Niere, he specifically would let me see. Like, find, I read this whole, like, New York article about it. And he told the women that the privileges of their gender had weakened them, turned them into Pridal Princesses, and that in order to be free from the prison of their muelling fraternities. They needed to submit to a program of discipline and suffering. And this is after he, like, changed his tune a little bit later on and was like, oh, their gas lit demoralized sleep deprived and put on starvation diets isolated from their friends and families subjected to scientifically dubious form of psychotherapy known this neuro linguistic programming. And you'd also just like forcing that sex with them. Like, it was shit like that. Which, I mean, that's literally, this article is is from this year. A month ago. And it's When this happened, I remember when this happened real time because one of the people that's, like, involved in this somehow, the Bromfins. It's like of the Bromfins family, they're like a wealthy family. They are loosely related to, like, an influencer that kind of flows around Hannah Bri. And I don't know if they're, like, literally related, but her name got dragged through the mud because of it. Oh, that and and and then Allison Mack obviously is because of smallville. But she she got crushed obviously, but they were calling it, like, the in influencer cult. Like, so people were coming in and, like, and people were trusting it being, like, oh, I know all these people. I recognize them from as influencers from Instagram. Like, all this shit that. And people were coming into people were coming into it. Like, it was it was honestly nuts. I've never seen anything like it, but I was still working at the New Yorker when it happened. It was fucking crazy. Insane. But an influencer called -- Yeah. -- sounds very frightening. How how easy could it be built to try to so easy. Even they kind of already exist. Like, maybe these ticked off houses or cults. Totally. They don't don't they don't they don't they don't answer such shit as far as we know, but how quickly we could ask and Ray. Start me, love her. But how quickly could she just, like, slip in some cold shit and then all of a sudden, where it's a cold I would probably do it. That's what I'm saying. Like, it seems like he doesn't know. You wouldn't even know that you're in a call. They would just Right. Because that's what happens. No. Addison said to do it. What? You know, I find crazy, like, celebrities now that have been in cult, it's like Joaquin Phoenix. Mhmm. Right? He was in was raised in the children of God. Mhmm. Cold. Yeah. And that sounds nice. But it wasn't nice. No. Like, the things that were actually happening, and then they rebranded to the family of love like porn fun. It's it's kinda like the people who have, like, you know, when somebody says something really fucked up to you -- Mhmm. -- online and then you click their bio or you click their profile and their bio says, be kind -- Mhmm. -- with a cross next to it. Yeah. The that's, like, culture. Like, family of god. But then it's, like, sex abuse, yand The murder. Yeah. Literally, And what about kind of going on right now? That new show on Netflix, My on Orthodox Life? Like, she would definitely argue that her whole lifestyle before was a cult in a very scary one. They didn't let women do They didn't women do anything and they still don't. That's I mean, that's the that's the orthodox Jews. Yeah. They're so intense like that. And I I'm honestly afraid of the orthodox Jews. They're I mean, they run around boys right now. Know, you can go down the scumb whatever, like, North fourth. It's crazy run-in They just believe women can't do anything. They can't read the same books as them. They can't dance. They can't sing. It's like right now. They're all gonna walk around by themselves. That's insane. Do you guys know when Charles Manson died? Can't recently Her Mercedes Benz? Two thousand seventeen. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. This was still living. In Tuesday, we have a, like, a wife, Penpal wife, or something? Something like that. I remember that we are the girls that are not on stand, I think. Still Yeah. Was to love her. She recently one of the girls, like, recently I don't know. See, like, he was still having bitches while he's in jail. Like, this man has a magical magical spell. Magical spell. People aren't drawn to, like, this kind of chaos. Like, all the serial killers. Did you guys ever watch a mindhunter? No. It's a really show. And they were they interviewed, like, all these serial killers, whatever. But one of the I forget which ones might be Ed Kemper. I forget which one was getting they, like, made a comment about all of his, like, fan mail And he was like, what do you mean fan mail? Like, there are people who are like obsessed and like bloodthirsty for killers. It's like a fantasy of theirs and they think like, oh, whatever. You know, maybe I won't act on it, but it's like I can have this pen pal who's a fucking murderer. Mhmm. And it's literally insane. Oh, so a lot of that on TikTok. They love murderers, serial killers. That's fucking crazy, but outer ranks season two. Rafe, he was looking fucking hot, but not not as crazy as has been, like, straight acting. Great. That's what saying. None don't like his actions. I don't know if he is. He really makes you believe that he is Psychotic. He's crazy He's crazy. Great at it. And he's looking hot. But I Trust me. I'm looking hot, but he wasn't looking hot. He's looking hot right now. I think I'm near the end. I like your episode left. I think he's looking hot right He's look he was looking attracted to his house splitting I don't condone I'm not saying his actions were hot. No. But you wanna fuck him? No. He just booked hot on record saying that I thought that time buddy I'm sorry. Zach Efron as ten Buddy was hot? Yeah. Zach Efron play, which you wouldn't have hot as Zach Efron play, Ted Bundy. If Ted Bundy were not If Ted Bundy, were not like And there were no murders in what he played. They didn't show any of things. Right. When I see pictures of Ted Bundy, I don't think he looks hot. I think it's tickets. The charisma with the the charisma with him. Jeffrey Dahmer? Right? Jeffrey Dahmer, I think, is a freak. I think he doesn't god. I mean, they're all freaks. I don't know. Oh, no. Yeah. I think he's like I'm just thinking of Ross Lynch playing Jeffrey. He's the you, like, Zacov runway. He said, Bonnie, that's the problem when they get hot actors to play. Yeah. These guys, and you're, like, oh, shit. The men or is it Mendez? Menez Brothers? The they were hot. Out there. Yeah. And they killed their parents. Oh my god. We're crazy. We can't be seen here. But they killed for good reason. I'm actually on the Mendez brother. Mendez. Mendez brother. That's like I was brutal. Fucking I would kill my dad if he was That reminds me of the act. Remember the show the act? Yeah. I Yeah. With Joey King. With Joey King, Gypsy Rose. I think Gypsy Rose -- Mhmm. -- was right for killing her mother. She shouldn't have been a jail. I'm not like, I needed to kill her, man. She needed like, she needed to kill her mom. Fine. Maybe I won't say she was right, but when I killed my mother? Yeah. Yeah. Of blame is if it was pumping you full of drugs and you're making you Yeah. Just like the death penalty. Yeah. Like like like Got it. Got it. Got it. Got it. Got it. Got it. Got it. it. You gotta be a little creepy, Gotta be on just the road. Still a little creep, but yeah. Like, she was Right. He was little bit, like, your mom put you in a wheelchair your whole life tells you have cancer, you're dying. You didn't walk and fathered the fathered the ritu. Can I have her diet coke or her Pepsi and sugar? Her mom wouldn't let her eat anything. That was craziest part. That was just done with that too. I would have just reversed it, sedated my mom, and strapped her in a wheelchair. Well, she killed her. So I think I think the other guy wife would have gone. Torturing I towards slowly torturing her would have been more deserved. Yeah. Because, like, that's crazy. A quick kill. That's, like, howdy's Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I bet you're saying he has a cold fog up till he's been here. He's like, no. Do you know that? I I in my investigations, and also people commented. Somebody told me to look up the yellow deli. Have you guys heard of this? Or anybody reach out each other? Oh, yes. Yes. They're like it's like something that started in Australia, but it's everywhere. Like, it's all around and it's, like, literal delis. Like, it's actual deli sandwich shops. And they're so defined. Delicious. People are saying that's really good. But apparently it's, it's like an actual cult and they just have this like deli thing as a but apparently it's it's like actual cult and they just have this like deli thing as a front and it's all about child abuse and shit. Yeah. A lot of the workers It's like it's like there's young girls working there they're involved in it. They are connected over Christianity, but then apparently, they it's, like, not good shit. But that's, like, currently happening. Like, I don't Like, I don't know what's -- Mhmm. -- people YellowDelly. Like, I could yellowdelly. Well, nine now. Stay away from the yellow deling. To the yellow deling. Come to when I looked at that website, I it, like, brought me to their website to, like, make orders. Yeah. Welcome to the yellow deling. So one in New York. Yeah. That's nuts. It's their it's Charle Mountain. I think that they're dedicated and loyal and they love that think that they're dedicated and loyal, and they love Blessings. -- that they're so and they have huge hearts. Uh-huh. And they're full of love. Mhmm. And then we can have fun psychological problems. Yes. And they're fucking nuts. Yeah. But, you know, crazy Is goods. What about We we love nuts. Same thing. What about, like, sports teams? Fant like, like, the Bills fans. They're Bills Yeah. Bill's mafia. That's not even a cold. You're in fucking mafia. Yeah. Possibly. Yeah. I I that you do you. With the sports news because that's like a seasonal thing. And it's competition. Yeah. Like because there's a purpose. There's a purpose. Yeah. Like stand accounts that are just fighting for no reason. It's you're not even competing. Like, at least there's a game involved. Yeah. Someone's gonna win. Someone's gonna lose. So Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Those make more sense. Sometimes I feel like sports teams the people who get so into it who, like, like, burst their blood vessels in their face because they're screaming or they, like, smash their shit. Like, that's I think is crazy. Like, I think they have shit going home at home, and they're taking it out at the game. I think it's Frankie Bradley with the Islanders. And I think it has a great life. Oh, but it's awesome. It's cool to watch. It is crazy. Like I think I don't know how you guys are about so passionate. I mean, how get there? Yeah. Have you ever screamed your heart out over anything? Mhmm. I don't think I don't like that. Not I've never had the passion. Like, no, guys. I haven't. Over what? Many of things, really. I'm very passionate. I thought I'm also very passionate, but there's some sort of things Ria Yeah. Yeah. Oh, I'm trying think of so much. That's the people when I was Ria but, like -- Yeah. -- I'm not screaming. I get sometimes swept up in a whole bunch stuff. I'm at a concert. It's kinda it's exciting. Like, I'll scream. I screamed when started out at Banks the other day. Oh, yeah. Yeah. No. That wouldn't get my blood moving. I screamed. Close. Yeah. That's not even a little bit. Check when it was I screamed. I screamed. screamed for both when Haley Bieber and Justin Bieber engaged. Oh, you screamed for that? Yes. We had video from that same. Yeah. Just I like to find the little things in life you scream about. Yeah. That's nice. Yeah. Yeah. No way. No way. I think a lot more to move on there by Saab and Saman. Scream and drop to my knees and scream. And blow him? I'd blow him. Drop to your knees and blow him. Yeah. To take him off. Oh, yeah. We do just park him. Somebody slap them on the ass. Imagine the face. And then just walk away, a crawl away. It's my screen. Yeah. That's all I need. Have you ever have you ever screamed as loud as you think you can? Like I feel like I I've tried, but it doesn't I feel like at a certain decimal. No. I don't I don't don't know how to do it unless you're, like, out on beach or, like, no one's near you. On a mountain top -- Yeah. -- on a mountain top. Hello? I I wouldn't even wanna do it next to anybody. either. I feel awkward. I try to yell Neither. Even. I feel like my voice like CA like cuts me off I feel like my voice like cuts me on the same thing. I feel like a bad screen. You ever try to yell at somebody's name across the office and you get scared. Yeah. Then you're like, Right. Bree. You do it once and then you can't do it once and then it. You can't do it once. I always fuck it up the first time. I'm like, Bri. Yeah. And then I'm like, Bree. Yeah. And it's it's it No. I always have to let it go up to the first of my god. I'm, like, oh, yeah. And then on the top, I'm, like, yeah. Yeah. I didn't just request your love. It's like, I'm trying to warm up to it. Like, I if I'm getting loud, it's, like, I have to start low and then get riled up. And then eventually, I'll get loud. I can't just pop up the screen. Yeah. No, I don't think I don't think so. I don't necessarily think I'm so. I don't necessarily think I'm loud. I think sometimes, like like, if I'm drinking or something or if singing or whatever, but it takes me a while to get there. Yeah. I think it takes it takes everyone a little bit to get there. Yeah. But what about for cults? What would you guys consider cults that people don't really think about or talk about, like, just cheerleaders, I would say, special leaders. In the right school, I think cheerleading as a class. Sororities and and fraternities. Swords about that separately. Yeah. Yeah. That's what neither of you were in writing. Right? Yeah. You were not. No. I think back about the show we did like, during initiation and stuff, like, in a basement You were in store. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I was shit. I was Bri got in touch. was you have no idea how in obsessed was with my surroundings. See that. Everything. It was just, like, basically, everything I do is I just changed myself based on my surroundings. So that was high school Fraternities. The only thing to do is to join sorority or else you had no friends. And so that's what did and I played the part like a fucking queen. And we the shit that we did, like, we would go into our initiation was in a basement of, like, the fellowship hall. So say we had, like, the church was on top and there was, like, a basement. Basically, like, you know, when they, like, played bingo in the basement of the church is essentially that. Yeah. That's basically that. Nobody was actually nicer than that. Like, it was it had, like, a a carpet and stuff. It wasn't so gross. It was, like, really nice campus. It wasn't, gross, but it was fucking weird. We would go down there and we'd like set up the white sheets, like all around, so the whole room was covered in white sheets. And then we go to our white dresses. Listen. Really? Listen. We had to wear white dresses, white shoes, and we had to, like, all stand line. We've just like chant for a long We've just, like, chant for a long time. And then we have to do it. We have to miss as a performer. We had to do yes. We had to do, like, three four songs, like special songs. Then we had the it's, like, these, like, prayers from this book. And and, like, we had to say all these different, like, words in Latin, like, weird shit. And then You're not supposed to telling us Probably not. Yeah. I know that a lot of people are like Well, I'm not telling you specifics, but that's a lot of I I think most sororities do it like that. Like, it's it is because we I know that the other girls this I was a Cady the zetas also did that, the Gams also did. I think they wore black dresses maybe, but the zetas wore y dresses. So I think we all had similar Ria. And we all used, like, the fellowship. We all just had the same shit. It was just, like, different words. I understand, like, when people say, like, if you went to certain school, it was all all people did was joints were already scraped. Yeah. I I clearly never I never even, like, looked for a college that, like, had us were earlier or anything because I could literally never do that. I just could never bring myself to do it. I don't I don't know why just the wanting to be told to do. I I yeah. I don't like to be told, I would say, no. I'm the boss. I Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Every Oh, no. I'm a freshman. You're a senior, but I'm the boss of You're a senior, but I'm the boss of you. And that's what you, that's what you guys say. You just you you do that. You wait in the wings. No. Or you just stay out of the whole thing. And you just stay out of it, and you never have to deal with that, and you have your own friend. We don't pay for Ria. and then you And I feel like everyone's just so fake in this sorority. It's like you're not even really friends. You guys all paid to be friends. You're all fighting deals. Talk? Yes. Yes. It's a competition Dorel College. Yeah. I sort of I I half agree with all the things you're saying. The pay to be fair friends thing I never have agreed with because you don't pay to friends with these people. I didn't wanna hang out with how girls my story. Like, I didn't exactly know what I'm saying. I was I was friends. Well, there was my story. was I wanna say, like, over a hundred bitches. Like, it was a lot of bitch, you know, I mean, mean? I'm friends with all these hoes, but the girls I was friends with, I'm still friends with like, they're my like best friends for real, the paying for my friends with all this hoes, but the girls I was friends with, I'm still friends. With, like, they're my, like, best friends for real. Mhmm. The paying for shit, you would pay for all the shit that you had to do. So you had to go to, like, all these charity things. You had to you get t shirts. You would get formal. You would get parties with drinks. And she's like, that's people are like, you're paying for your friends. Like, no. I'm prepaying for, like, guaranteed twenty parties throughout the year. Five formal, so I can just dress up and black out and do whatever I want. Yeah. So I I feel like people make a smile that you're supposed to be, like, bonding during all the shit. Oh, yeah. You're really gonna spend too closer. Right? Exactly. It makes you closer. No. I can't get it. He makes you closer. I think, but no. But it is it's very it's Patty is with it. Pulled together. Yes. Right. exactly. You, you are friends with your pledge class, so you're friends with your grade You're you are friends with your pledge class. You're friends with your grade, essentially. So it again, it's you have, like, your own system within this ready. You're not force. You are forced hang out with all these pitches a lot of times, but you don't actually sit there Ria are like, they're my sisters. Like, the girls who do that are the fucking freaks. Like, those are the girls you don't wanna out with. Yeah. And they are just in there because probably their mom's were in this room. You know what I mean? I think maybe it's like the chanting that gets think maybe it's, like, the chanting that gets me. Like, I I Yeah. There's there's a good amount of chanting. It's not all it's not forever chanting. A lot of There's like a lot of like, like chanting together and like, like dancing together, like freaks me out for some like, a lot of, like, just, like, dancing together and, like Mhmm. -- like, dancing and together, like, freaks me out for some reason. Like, it's something that I would feel very I feel like it needs to evolve more. Yes. It's a lot of comfortable being so hard. The chanting during recruitment sucks because that's, that's lame and you have to like hit, were you in a chanting during recruitment sucks because that's that's lame and you have to, like, hit were you in a sorority? I knew it. I was, like, I knew it was a bitch in here that's in a sorority, not just me. Okay. The chanting sucks during recruitment It's like that to me felt like that was a full time job I wish I had gotten paid thousands dollars for. Like, the fact that I recruited all of these fucking pitches into a sorority because I was like tall and pretty in easy to talk to. Like, that fucking is ridiculous. We gotta learn all this way. Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. Yes. You you can't complain about being taller pretty, you know, to tell me to I had to talk to I had to talk like, seven hundred girls in three days time. We didn't sleep. We had to learn routines. We had to get costumes. But you do all the fun shit. Sign up for it. You sign up for it. You sign up for it. I wanted all the other fun shit. That was the bad shit. So we had to do that. Like once a year. So we had to do that once a year. So that was the bad chanting. But then the good chanting came in when we was it was like midday, all these hoes come and and it's like you get the ones that you wanted. So you feel accomplished, like, yes, I got them, you know. Mhmm. And then you get drunk and drive around campus, let us laugh out and obnoxious as possible, all wearing matching shit, screaming these chants, which lot of those those chants are like, what what time? Oh, no. Shubhinte is no a big day is so fucking fun. Like, you get hot. You get in the car, you scream them, but there's no legs in the car. Right. Those are the chance that, like, that are dirty. Like, they'll sing the dirty chance where it's, like, you know, you you talk about sex, you talk about drinking, talk about whatever, but you're fucked up, you're, like, getting the girls fucked up, and that's really, really fun. And that, like, makes it worth it for, like, a little bit. And then you get sick of it. How how bad is the hazing though? Because, like, sounding real cold. But I believe you're cold. That's insane. It's super cold. Yeah. Guys, it's, like, really physical, like, abuse. Yeah. Girls. It's, like, cyclops. Yeah. And it's more clear. Ugly and Yeah. It's it's different depending on it's different depending on it. Well I'm Ria, not obviously a tough enough it. It's a little it's different depending on who it is. Like, I'll be honest, we weren't we were never hazed physically except for drinking. We were drinking was I I like She's on my own feet more times than I would like to have cried. Well, I'm not a pussy. So not often, but so not often. But Jeez. This whole podcast is like, I'm the toughest person in this fucking room. Yeah. I'm sorry. I think it's weird and I would never watch it. It's like I just thought of like telling other people they're just I'm not sure why we're telling other people they're ugly, not even me being called ugly, the thought of being, like, you're No. Nobody did that. that. You didn't let me let me finish. Well, nobody called anybody I'm right here. I'm right here explaining what happened. Yes. Guys stuff was always physical. They made them, like, play football extra hard and, like, tackle really hard. And they would and, beat the shit out of each other like stuff like that. It was really stupid. Girls, it was just like drinking and it was very clicky. So you had to be like it was it was like it's awesome like this office. It's where it's like working in another job. It's like going to high school. It's like going to college. It's just being smart and making friends. But a lot of girls get the feelings hurt because they're, like, not invited to, like, this part of it or whatever, and that's where the mental shit comes in. And girls drop out a lot because they're, like, well, they don't like me. They're not nice to me. They're whatever. It's, like, well, it's grow up. don't know. Deal with it. Well, I understand having to be in sorority or fraternities you're, like, in a school where that's the only -- Oh, so high point is, like, four thousand kids. So it's, like, you if you weren't an authority, you I you were either on a sports team or you were in a community or you transferred. Like, that. just how it was. That's the only way I would probably be have to be, like, forced into one. But I have two hazing stories from my friends. They dropped it because it was like horrifying. One is from a fraternity. I probably can't say the school. Right? No. Don't. Yeah. No. So they they they were at the school. He was joining a fraternities, and it was whatever initiation when they get hayes, like, fucked on. Yeah. They had a pin of baby goats, and they had to each kill baby goat with their bare hands. And he was like, I can't fucking do this. And he broke down and he, like, left. And he obviously told a bunch people and they, like, wrote a bunch articles about it, tried to get the thing can you, like, end this with fraternities? They're, like, gonna get the thing kicked off all the all the fraternities that I was friends were all kicked off now. Yeah. So that was that. And that was the horrifying one. That was just, like, day one of, like, they had to kill the baby goat with our hands. And then the other one was girl, and it was down south, and she was joining the and they made her sit on the washer machine. And -- That's like -- I started the sorority. I was like, I don't wanna say who I can't say who I can't say who I mean, but that's can I be that's can I be honest? Right? That's the number one thing that has been told to every single person joining a sorority for the past, like 20 That is the number one thing that has been told to every single person joining us already for the past, like, No. She It's not so much? Or are they are they make them much porn and and sit on newspapers until they, like, come and Once they come, and then they advise me But once they Jay, what a drug is? Newborn. Yeah. So she was six years older than me. So It's just those, I mean, they're like get it. And I'm I'm sure I I believe that because there's no way that we've heard that story a billion times. Right. Someone or you had to happen somebody. to somebody. Yeah. If she was your age, I would say no fucking way because that's people No. You're right. I'm not gonna remember. Can I ask you this about your friend with the with GoThang? Yeah. So we had a situation like that also. I won't say who but they we puppies, similar thing. But it wasn't you didn't actually kill the puppies. Like, it was a mental thing. Like, if that's the whole thing where they bring you in and they make you think you have to do this. And obviously, everybody opts out and freaks out. But the people that like pussy out and drop out or whatever, and the people that like come back and are cool with it, like, oh, the people that, like, push you out and drop out or whatever, and the people that, like, come back and are cool with it. Like, oh, okay. It was, like, all kind of a joke. Even though it's not funny. It's obviously not funny. It's, like, that's fucked up to, like, make somebody think they're having to kill a puppy or kill a goat or something that. Most times, they'll do it like I know they killed one goat because the head, I don't know, the president, he killed the goat and said, it's your I know they killed one goat because the head I don't know the president. He killed the goat and said it's your turn. But I don't know if he made everyone else kill them, but they left before That's what I wanted to get. Those threw these guys' brains. They tried to They tried to They tried to scan a box. I had friends who friends that This is why you tried to drop out of science school. They had the they made them sit in coffins night. Gotcha. They, like, tie them up in coffins. Like, oh, but they didn't do anything. But that they just made him sit in coffin, talking about fucked me up for but They just made them sit in coffins. So without talking about -- Right. Me up. Shit. That would fuck me up. So if they shut down, like, the whole fraternity thing because this one kid, like, it's, like, freezing in their and he had to have his hands in the snow, and he literally got frostbite and lost his hand. Oh, my god. Lost crazy. Some yeah. And people forget And people forget to, like, I was like sticking up a little bit for for being in a sorority, but I think that you have to know when shit is actually stupid. Like, you have to know when to call people out. Like, that go thing. You're probably right leave. That's That's ridiculous. That's terrifying. To do that to sit and put your hand in the snow enough that you can fucking frost, like, tap out, dude. It's not it's not worth it. It's like, what are you doing? You know what I mean? It's ridiculous. Yeah. I just don't get that out. What it is for? Like, what's the outcome when you get from it? It's just crazy. No. No. No. Some of the bigger schools, though. People The big Bri, age one, sororities. It's like it's life or death. I know. I Devon's off camera here. But I know that, like, Penn State -- Mhmm. -- no bullshit, I'm sure, recruitment. Because it's it's like so many people wanna join, but there's also so many people that, like, go. So the the pool is probably so big. Like, how many people would you say? We're in recruitment. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We're in rush. Like, we probably for for recruitment for me, it was probably, like, five hundred girls -- Mhmm. -- going through recruitment each year. Maybe not maybe not even My tiny school had and they weren't my weren't horrifying or anything. Yeah. They were, like, normal. It was just an only way to make friends if you didn't place anywhere. Yeah. But I think at a big school there, more buying, probably. I know at IU they had, it was, like, over a thousand girls and, like, each like, over over a thousand girls trying to pledge each class. Like, each class was, like, a hundred. Depends on, yeah, who's, like, the highest wanting highest ranking story to get the most. There's only yeah. The quota thing was always a always an issue for us. We had, like, a a max quota and minimum quota. The minimum quota was always we wanted to take. Mhmm. And then because, like, or it was always, like, at the time that I was there, I think it's different now. But the time I was at high point, it was Katie and Zadeau were one and two. And we both had to take the most girls. But that's how, like, the more people you have to take, the, like, weird or the pledge class gets because then you have to you it's also based on grades. It's based on the other shit. But Definitely a cult. Definitely a cult. Yeah. It's it's really weird. It's crazy. It's really weird all around. Not a modern day cult. My modern cult. Modern day cult. Do you guys wanna see if we're in a cult currently? I would love to. Yeah. Let's do it. Alright. before we find we find out. If we're in a Colt, I just have to say my number one priority is protecting myself, my friends and my out if we're in a cult, I just have to say My number one priority is protecting myself, my friends, and my family. First question is, have you noticed that the groups ideas have filtered into all areas of your life, work, social, personal life. Yes. Yes. Go ahead and click yes. Have your friends or family con commented that you have changed? Yes. Have you noticed that you spend less and less time with your family and other friends more and more time with the group. Yes. Mere Nicole. Do you find it boring or awkward funny too? I'm spending time with people outside the group because they seem boring, or they don't understand the language of the group. Yes. Do you believe that outsiders are not on the same level as you? Is it gonna group them? Yes. Do you consider that the group's ideas and beliefs are the way forward in sorting out the problems of this world? No. No. I mean, that's all our ideas. We would think our goal is to save the world. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We're not saying we don't know. We don't know. On. Okay. Have you thought that if only everyone knew the stuff, the world would be a different place? I think yeah. I think that everyone thought Wait. If everyone knew Like, if everyone, like, you know like, we, like, we are No. -- our sororities? Yeah. Like, how we ask how we, like, live, how we, like, go about, like, they changed the world. Yeah. Like, if everybody knew how reality show sense. Yes. Yes. Like, I feel like if everybody knew how to like deal with trolls and like how to have like a normal brain, like that's, I feel like we're all like, if everybody knew how to, like, deal with trolls and, like, how to have, like, a normal Like, that's I feel like We're all normal. don't know. We are not normal at all. No. I know this. We've adopted it in a new adopted it in a new way. No. We all have to. Don't have normal brains, I would say. Has someone close to you told you that they think you are in a cult? No. I don't think yeah. No. I think it's disguised by It's like I see a lot of comments though, sports is cult. Yeah. Alright. When you ask yourself, am I in a cult? You think straightaway? Of course not. would never draw a cult. Yes. Yes. But I think that's how we all started this podcast. I just Oh, how do you even join a call We're literally in Okay. If someone criticizes the group or principals, do you have to explain why they are wrong? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. We do. Okay. Do you find yourself recommending the group's activities or principles for many different types of problems? So, like Like, if somebody's having a hard time, do you reference, like, oh, this I had this, like, hard time at work or oh, we did this thing at the office. Oh, my goodness. Everything is revolving. Everything I go well at work. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Do you sometimes feel like you know more than the outsiders about life, about people about the world Yes. Honestly. There's three more. Have people said that you are pushy or obsessive about the group? Honestly, no. Not yet. I mean I know. I I wouldn't say that either. It's almost everywhere all day every day. When it comes if it, like, comes time too, if somebody asks me to, defend or something, then yes. But yeah. But no, I wouldn't say generally, is there a strong urgency to explain the benefits of the group and its activities to those who are no, wouldn't say generally. Is there strong urgency to explain the benefits of the group and its activities to those who are critical? Yes. Yes. So fast. The last one is, do you ever feel bad or guilty for not behaving as the group says you should? No. No. That's really a dark doesn't really have We don't behave. Yeah. That's also true. Test results. Let's Let's see. Hm. It says you're a It says, You're a burner. You've come far and deep my friend. You have ten points for fifteen questions. You are for thirty three percent pure. The average of sufferers were thirty eight percent pure. What does that mean? I think I think yes. I think the answer is yes. Risky. I think this is how they're talking to us. Like, I think it's, like, like, a pro cult. Yes. They're talking to us in cult code. Yeah. We're on a list now. What is it about? We're gonna be getting a lot of strange I have no idea what that even means. I think that means cult. Yeah. It looks like it looks like burner culta for Okay. Alright. Yeah. Bottom line is Bottom line is We're in a cult. Ria and D, my friends. We've never done it. I'm happy. That's how most people in the cults feel. They had it. They're fine with being in the cult. Yeah. I feel alright. Like I said, usually brainwashed. I was in cult before. I just changed to a different Oh, I'm easily peer pressured. Yeah. And I peer pressure easily. Do we think that peer pressuring and, like, like, joining a cult are a little bit, like, a little bit together? Yeah. In a way. Well, that's why when I when Carlin came the office. I remember I looked a friend and said, I don't even wanna look at him in the eye or talk to him because honestly, I will be swindled if I start talking to him. That's true. So you have know when to not even put your do you remember that? We talked about saying it probably would've hit on you. Yeah. So that yeah. Yeah. I would've just, like, she knows his wife with you. But yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Also that, oh Also that Oh, man. Oh, yeah. yeah. I feel like people, when he came in, people were like very cautious in the I feel like people when he came in, people were, like, very cautious in the office. Yeah. Yeah. Like, don't make that Karl Karl Lence, the hillsong church head. He's now disgraced. You just left him. You just left him be right. Him. Oh, okay. Yeah. Yeah. So He's a disgraced. Disgraced password. Let's get into voicemails. So She's On his his wife. Yeah. Fuck back. Right? Yeah. Fuck him. Before Before we get into the voicemails, it's time for my favorite part of the episode where I get to put sunglasses on and look flock shape on the we get into the voicemails, it's time for my favorite part of the episode where I get to put sunglasses on and look flogged. I can shave the fives on panel. I would say it's not to toot my own horn, but Would say, substitute my own horn, but thanks thanks. Nectar sunglasses as sunglasses. As always. Like, they all think that they are doing gods were, and they're actually just telling you, like, the shittiest shampoo of all time. And every single one of them, clothes themselves, clothies, and all this other shit. And it's just like I don't know. It's it's like a cult mindset.
