For the last decade, Kate Carlton has captured some of the most incredible photos of families during Birth. She's entered homes, hospitals, hospice centers, worked with Midwives, doctors and even trained as a Doula to support families bringing new life into the world. Her perspective as both a photographer and a mother, herself, is astounding. And in a season of darkness, she knows where to shine the light and truth of all that happens. We dove into just how intimate Birth is, how painful it can be, but also how hopeful it can be, how to grieve and gather support in the aftermath and give moms a breath forward.
