Today, Host Russ Johns shares an exciting announcement about our new book debuting in April.
Host Liz Lawless welcomes Nancy Churnin, an award-winning author of 10 picture book biographies. Nancy writes true stories about people who persevered to achieve their dreams and make the world a better place. A native New Yorker and former theater critic for The Dallas Morning News, Nancy is a graduate of Harvard University with a master's from Columbia University School of Journalism. She lives in North Texas with her husband, a dog named Dog, and two cantankerous cats.
Manjhi Moves a Mountain, winner of the South Asia Book Award has been translated into many languages, including Braille.
Martin & Anne, a Notable Book for a Global Society, is illustrated by Yevgenia Nayberg, who is from Ukraine (she now lives in New York City). Martin & Anne has been translated into Chinese and Braille.
Sharing Martin & Anne and Beautiful Shades of Brown at the Ruby Bridges Reading Festival at the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, Tennessee with Ruby Bridges.
Felicia Marshall is the illustrator of Beautiful Shades of Brown.
Charlie Takes His Shot is featured at the World Golf Hall of Fame as part of a Dr. Charlie Sifford exhibit. Gregory Poindexter, Dr. Sifford's great-grandson, reading and enjoying CHARLIE TAKES HIS SHOT.
