Have you ever left the doctor's office more confused than when you walked in? Have you wanted to ASK A GYN a few more questions.. on your own schedule, unhurried and with a rewind button!</P>

Hello, I'm Dr. Steven Rabin.

I'm a board certified ob gyn practicing gynecology-only.

And I've been in practice for over 27 years.

And one of the things my patients say the most is that I've explained things to them in such a way that nobody's ever explained it to them before.

In this podcast, I'm going to give you uncommonly clear explanations to some of the most common gynecology problems women face today. Like menopause, dryness, fibroids, heavy and painful periods, polyps, birth control choices and problems with birth control, infections, discharge, sexual issues, increased pain, decreased libido, we'll talk about hormones, we'll talk about new treatments, old treatments, and even some alternative treatments.

Having been in practice for 27 years, I've conducted nearly 90,000 patient visits. And at every one of those visits, I've been practicing my skills of explaining complex topics in a very understandable way. I think this is so important that that's why I'm making this podcast. I'm also hoping to direct some of my patients to a certain episode after a visit. So they can re listen to some of those mini lectures that I give every day, every month, every year, you're going to be able to send in your questions. And I'm going to spend some time with you as we review the basics, and then take it to the next level. Ask A GYN.

I can't tell you how often patients come to see me and tell me that for the first time ever, they've gotten explanations for something that they've been dealing with for years and years explanations that they finally understand, and so that they can take action and start to actually understand their condition their options, and be able to explain it to their partner, their friends, their family, because being in the dark is really uncomfortable, and making decisions based on a poor understanding of your condition. Well, that's just not any way to become a partner in the decision making process with your physician.

Now, this is for educational purposes only. I'm not intending to diagnose your problems or give you any specific advice. That should be something that you do with your doctor. I'm hoping that these episodes will be a spark something to help you ask some better questions and to understand the conversation starters.  In these podcasts we'll go through one topic start to finish, we'll talk about the symptoms. We'll talk about how we test how we diagnose and then to talk about the different treatment options that are out there that you might need to consider.

Another exciting feature of this podcast is going to be your ability to call in and ask a question. You can record your question. Call us at:  833-Ask-A-GYN

And the numeric for that is 833-275-2496. Ask-A-GYN

And you can call right now you can be anonymous or just leave your first name and your age. But make sure to say hey, Dr. Rabin, it's okay for you to use my question on the podcast. Keep the question general so everybody can benefit from it. I'm going to launch this podcast on April 16 2021. And that just happens to be my birthday. And it would mean the world to me. If you'd subscribe to this podcast right now.  Ask A GYN. It's the podcast for those of you who want to know more about the challenges in women’s health. The conditions, the root causes and the rational for certain treatments and solutions to those problems.  All in an interesting and understandable format to help you (and honestly help me) get more comfortable with understanding womens' health issues.
