Hello, dear listeners! Welcome to episode 10! 

Today I'm very thrilled to feature the very talented artist - Andreas von Buddenbrock. 

Andreas is an expert in highly detailed ink drawing, and his expertise lies between hand-drawn illustrations, digital paintings, and animations.

Originally from Sweden, he graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design in Hong Kong in 2015 and has since worked on a broad spectrum of projects with many clients from Hong Kong, Australia, and the U.S. 

I had a fascinating conversation with Andreas about various topics related to illustrations and his art routines. 

We also touch-base on Andreas’s backstage stories and his ultimate goal as an artist.  Lastly, we discussed the importance of engaging with an audience by sharing stories behind art and how Andreas approached this challenge.

On top of our conversation, if you are in Hong Kong, I would like to encourage you to stop by Andreas's first solo exhibition where you can see his latest work!  The show will begin on the 10th of July and keep going until September 2019.

The exhibition will take place at the very trendy speakeasy bar - Brickhouse in central, Hong Kong.

Born and raised in Stockholm, Andreas has been drawing since he was old enough to lift a pencil. Following his graduation from Stockholm’s BASIS School of Art and the Savannah College of Art & Design, Andreas worked as a sculptor’s assistant to Swedish sculptor Anders Krisár in New York, before training as a Gallery Associate at MoMA.

Today, Andreas spends his time working as a freelance illustrator in Hong Kong. His exhibit at Brickhouse is entitled “The Ink Trail” – although these drawings serve as “snapshots” of his own experiences, they are also meant to inspire viewers to look at the world they live in more closely and find their own personal adventures.
