This week we decided to do a Creepy Christmas Special after all. We are talking about Krampus, Saint Nicholas' scary companion. We cover a bit about the origins of Krampus and discuss the significance of Saint Nicholas. Then we get into another German Christmas gift-bringer, Belsnickel. We talk about his possible origins and how he came to be a popular figure in the Pennsylvania Dutch communities. Hopefully you were good this year or else these two Christmas characters may bring you some pretty painful punishment!
