The holiday season, often regarded as the most joyous time of year, can be quite challenging for many people, particularly those living with mental illness. According to the National Alliance on Mental Health, 64% of people with mental health conditions report that the holidays exacerbate their symptoms. From the rigors of training and racing, to meeting some of those most supportive people in the endurance community, triathlon has been an integral part in Johnny's coping process when battling mental health.
