Are you getting close to the big graduation day, and you are finally entering the so-called real-world? It is perfectly normal to be scared of life after college. This podcast and CCPD are here to share some real-life experiences and give you tips on how to be successful in this next important step of your life. Welcome to After the Diploma with CCPD, I am your host Juliana Seabra, I am a Post University graduate with a degree in marketing, and currently enrolled in the master’s program. In addition, I am the assistant coach for the tennis team, and staff member @the Center for Career and Professional Development here at Post. Today we will talk with one of our alumni Brianna Rotunno.

Brianna graduated in 2020 Summa Cum Laude with two degrees, one in Accounting and the other in Criminal Justice, as well as an undergraduate certificate in Forensic Accounting. She graduated with Honors Distinction and was named main campus Valedictorian for the Class of 2020. During her time at Post, Brianna played on the softball team and received the Post University Athletic Department award for “Female Student Athlete of the Year” in both 2019 and 2020. In 2018, she also received the Top XVI Award for highest GPA amongst softball players participating in the Central Athletic Collegiate Conference (CACC) championship tournament. Brianna also worked as Head Peer Educator at the Center for Academic Success, where she specialized in tutoring accounting and written communications. She also served as Vice President of the Accounting Society in her senior year. 

Brianna passed all 4 sections of the CPA Exam on her first attempt within a year after her graduation. As of October 2021, she has officially become a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Currently, Brianna works as a staff accountant on the Insurance Tax Team at Crowe LLP, a public accounting firm, in their New York City office.
