I can't believe I almost missed it! Being from Europe and having no knowledge of the Cathy comic, I was sure this wasn't for me... Now I have no doubt that anything by Jamie Loftus is a must-listen.The way she looks deep into the subject, then broadly around it, then flips it over, squeezing out all the meanings to compose a gripping, informative and entertaining story is truly impressive. The episodes on diet culture launched me into the world of fat positive and anti-diet/wellness culture content – it's a journey that has only just begun for me, but I'm already grateful for everything I've been learning in this field.

This painful but delightful trip back to the 1980s was an eye-opener for me. Over the course of the eight episodes, Loftus changed my mind about the Cathy comics and many other things. Highly recommended.

Not as brilliant as Jamie's other podcasts, maybe because Aack! Cathy isn't household name in Europe and I didn't have a clue who she was.
