Matthew Know's research focuses on the scales of genetic connectivity and precise environmental gradients and vicariant processes which generate biogeographic breaks are largely unknown for deep sea ecosystems, especially for the small macrobenthos which dominate diversity as community level. To redress this, we assessed intraspecific genetic variability among geographically disparate amphipod populations from New Zealand’s continental margins.
