Steve Wright is a radio personality and DJ. He currently hosts the BBC Radio 2 programs "Steve Wright in the Afternoon" and "Steve Wright's Sunday Love Songs." He has also hosted BBC television shows such as "Home Truths," and "The Steve Wright People Show."Wright was raised in New Cross and has always wanted to work in entertainment. His first broadcasting was for Thames Valley Radio 210 in 1976. In 1979, he got his own nightly show at Radio Luxembourg. He has been the host of "Steve Wright in the Afternoon" for BBC Radio 1 on and off since 1981.
