Scottee is a performance artist, writer, and activist. He is a regular contributor to the BBC Radio show "Loose Ends," and he hosts the podcasts "After the Tone" and "Self Help."Scottee's early work was controversial, such as throwing cake at Rihanna as part of an "X Factor" performance and spitting milkshake over Nick Grimshaw. His recent work focuses on activism, including such projects as working with his grandfather to tackle ageism, creating artwork in Southend that addresses queer trauma, creating a talent show for exploring fat activism called Hamburger Queen, establishing Peterborough Pride, creating the dance show Fat Blokes, and creating the stage show "Class."Scottee is the former co-founder and Artistic Director of Scottee & Friends Ltd. His writing has appeared in The Guardian, i-D Magazine and Global Citizen.He has written columns and presented for "Front Row" and "Cultural Front Line."From 2013 to 2016, Scottee was Associate Artist at Roundhouse, London. In 2017 he became Associate Research Fellow at Birkbeck Centre for Contemporary Theatre, University of London and 2018 he became an Associate Artist at HOME Manchester.
