Dr. Scott H. Sicherer, MD, is a pediatric allergist. He is both a clinician and a clinical researcher. His food allergy research focuses on clinical manifestations, allergic diseases caused by specific foods, natural history of food allergy, environmental risk factors, diagnostic issues, epidemiology, psychosocial issues, genetic epidemiology, the development of educational materials, and novel treatments.Sicherer is the Director of the Food Allergy Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital, and a Professor of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. He is also Chief of the Division of Allergy and Immunology in the Department of Pediatrics at Mount Sinai Hospital.Sicherer received his M.D. from John Hopkins University and did his Residency in Pediatrics at The Mount Sinai Hospital.
