RonNell Andersen Jones is a legal scholar, whose work focuses on the first amendment. She is particularly interested in the intersection of the press, the law, and the courts.Currently, Jones is a professor of law and Associate Dean of Faculty and Research at the University of Utah, and an Affiliated Fellow at Yale Law School's Information Society Project.Jones has also been a law professor and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Research at Brigham Young University, a lecturer on media law at Ohio Wesleyan University, and a distinguished faculty fellow at the University of Arizona.Before becoming a professor, Jones was a reporter for the Deseret News.Jones received her B.A. in Communications from Utah State University and her J.D. from Ohio State University. She clerked for William A. Fletcher of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and for Sandra Day O'Connor of the Supreme Court.
