Josh Healey is a comic, writer, performer, filmmaker, and creative activist. He is a co-founder and co-executive producer of Offsides Productions. He is the lead writer and executive producer of The web series "North Pole."Healey's work has appeared in the New York Times and the San Francisco Chronicle. His first book, the poetry collection "Hammertime: Poems and Possibilities," was published in 2008.Healey has appeared on the NPR show "Snap Judgment," and has performed at the San Francisco Opera House, the National Poetry Slam, Second City Comedy Club, Contemporary Jewish Museum, and Arab Cultural Center. He has performed and led workshops at UC-Berkeley, Harvard, New York University, and other colleges, high schools, and conferences.Healey co-founded the First Wave program scholarship hip-hop arts program at the University of Wisconsin. He was program director for Youth Speaks, where he led spoken word programs across the Bay Area. He was the Culture Shift Director for Movement Generation, producing innovative shows, comedic videos, and creative interventions from the frontlines of the climate justice movement in the Bay Area.
