Gaby Wood is a journalist, author, and literary critic. Currently, she is is the Chief Executive of the Booker Prize Foundation.Previously, Woods was Head of Books at the Telegraph, and for 15 years she was an editor and staff feature writer at the Observer, reporting for the last seven of those years from New York. Wood's work has appeared in The Observer, The Daily Telegraph, London Review of Books, Granta, and Vogue. Her first book, "Living Dolls: A Magical History of the Quest for Mechanical Life" (published in the United States with the title "Edison's Eve") was published in 2002.
