Ms. Esther L. Muña was appointed on April 2014, as ChiefExecutive Officer of the Commonwealth HealthcareCorporation, the health agency for the Commonwealthof the Northern Mariana Islands. Ms. Muna held otherleadership roles for the Corporation and for theDepartment of Public Health as Chief Operations Officer,Chief Financial Officer and Hospital Administrator.Muña currently oversees strategic direction and alloperations of the Commonwealth Health CenterHospital, Rota Health Center, Tinian Health Center, PublicHealth Services, and Behavioral Health Services.She is board certified in healthcare management as aFellow of the American College of HealthcareExecutives. Her leadership roles include serving as amember of the ESRD Board of Directors of the HealthServices Advisory Group, Inc., as President, VicePresident, Secretary/Treasurer, and Secretary of thePacific Island Health Officers Association, President ofAAPC Guam-CNMI Chapter, and as a member of theHealth Access Policy Committee of ASTHO.She received a Master of Health Administration degreefrom Saint Joseph’s College of Maine and her Bachelor’sdegree from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana.
