Barbara Moran is a science journalist whose work focuses on public health, environmental justice, and the intersection of science and society. Currently, she is a Senior Producing Editor for WBUR, and an adjunct professor of English at Boston College.Moran's work has appeared in The New York Times, New Scientist, Technology Review, the Boston Globe Magazine and the Hartford Courant. She has produced television documentaries for PBS, The Discovery Channel, The History Channel and others. Her first book, "The Day We Lost the H-bomb," a narrative nonfiction account of the worst nuclear weapons accident in history, was published in 2009.Moran received her B.A. in American Studies from the University of Notre Dame and her MS in Science Journalism from Boston University.
