I'm a real estate agent in Texas. Almost everything that Trevor said about real estate agents and commissions is wrong. Real estate agents and clients have always negotiated commissions. He said that the NAR set the commission rates and that is absolutely 100% false. Also on the podcast he made it sound like real estate agents make a ton of money and do no work. I am so disappointed because I thought Trevor was a much smarter person than this. You must get your facts straight and speak to true real estate agents, and not think that what you see on those dumb TV programs is what real estate is really about. I would be happy to tell you exactly how it is.
