If you like smart commentary on current events and interesting interviews that last 15 or so minutes with authors, artists, public officials, and more, this might be a podcast for you. Pesca's brain runs at about 300 mph, and he packs a lot into a short amount of space. For a long time I avoided the podcast for the shallow reason that his delivery, influenced by years as a sports journalist and sports yakker, reminded me too much of, well, tedious sports yikkers. Pesca is so much more than that. Maybe not for everyone (what podcast is?), but people who mostly listen to podcasters who sound like NPR hosts might be surprised at how enjoyable this show is.
