RATING
Captivating from episode one, it’s so well done! In the Red Clay is one of those rare pods where you can close your eyes and feel you are in the Deep South, both presently and back in time, as this wild ride actually occurs, because the narrator is such an excellent storyteller! Added to that, Stoney Birt’s vivid memories of his father and the Dixie Mafia are riveting, yet so wildly fascinating that I could listen to him tell them all day long. This is pod is a must listen, especially if you enjoyed S-Town!
Fantastic podcast! The host, Sean Kipe is awesome!
This podcast is truly a special one. The narration quality, unique people and situations, and captivating storytelling bring the podcast to life. Thank you to Stoney for your vulnerability, and thank you to Sean for handling this story with the care and nuance it deserves. In the Red Clay is a preservation of oral history we're all lucky to have.
Interesting, well-research, and compelling podcast about the criminal organization known as the Dixie Mafia.
Pretty much amazing. I love podcasts this one is straight great. A great story.
It was perfect! I have published my first book and wanted to get in touch with Sean to share stories of Esom Hill, Georgia. A well known community that was known for high times but higher crimes. Its located in western Polk County with Cedartown, Georgia being the town. Trust me, you'll never believe some of these stories. Check out my face book...Where the Buttercups Bloom."
One of my favorites.
I don't think the podcast is bad or anything, but just not for me. I'm not too into a Georgian crime boss, and I know that now. Found myself completely not paying attention.
