ADAPT REVOLUTION! Is your weekly antidote to hate, greed, and ableism, where the D-Word is Disability. In the 4th episode, we talk about foundations. Ideally, we want this to be a video podcast, with ASL interpretation, captions, and transcripts for every episode. We will be working to make that happen. We want the show to be as accessible as possible and bring the community together. Today, we are featuring a comedy routine by Josh Blue, called "The Perks of Being Disabled," a speech by Marcia Howard at a labor rights gathering in Minneapolis on May 1st, 2023 (Happy May Day!!!!), and a moving music performance of "Someday We'll Linger in the Sun" by Gaelynn Lea. We build our true foundations when we are brave enough to bring our brilliance and talents fully into the world. Today, we wanted to highlight a couple of our favorite disabled artists and their work. Intro music is "Break My Soul" by Beyoncé. Closing music is "Blue Lights" by Jorja Smith. All rights to the featured content in this episode belong to the artists.
