There's a lot of talk about diversity in universities, but not diversity of thought. In most American universities these days there is no diversity of thought among most students and faculty members. In fact, in most cases, they want no dissent or independent thought at universities. They want everyone to think alike for the most part and those who don't get harassed and shouted down. Universities are pretty much run by the thought-police these days and that's what's wrong with higher education, at least in America. Universities in America are full of some of the most intolerant and closed-minded people in the country.
