These shows are published like periodicals. They contain valuable research and insight on a wide breadth of topics and most of them attempt to entertain as well.If you aren't intellectually stimulated, hopefully you will still get a laugh. If the host isn't funny, usually it's to save time. Brevity in podcasting is a show of respect for the audience and I find that quality just as admirable.
