Had a good laugh at the latest QVP offering "Rosa Krantz and Gilda Stern Aren't Dead". A fast-paced British comedy duologue somewhere between Ab Fab and Pinky and the Brain. Snappy dialogue editing which forces you to listen hard to keep up!
My daughter loves this series - the interactivity, the subtle reassuring tones of the storyteller, the stories themselves, the gentle music, everything. Most importantly, she's asleep before long, and the next night she can't wait to hear what she missed!Thank you, Madiva, and all power to this wonderful podcast.
If you are interested in voice acting and want hints, tips and all round great advice on how to develop your skills and career, this podcast from one of the best in the independent audio drama world, will give you all that and more. Sarah's fun style and solid knowledge of the independent audio drama sector give the listener a fun and informative listen with excellent additional advice from skilled industry professionals.
From Teddy Story to Vocal-warmups, and monologues about the moon, Quirky voices is aptly named indeed, and I LOVE IT! A whole smorgasbord of audio content to cater for everyone. At time of writing, I'm enjoying the amazing new MADCAP dystopian series, and looking forward to the upcoming, "Anyone F'Coffee." Keep it going, Quirky!
Anyone F'Coffee tells very personal and at times shocking stories of what these women have gone through and have to live with. Can be difficult to listen to but Sarah does a great job of gently moving through the discussion to get to the other side. In addition to one to one discussions with those involved, Sarah includes interviews with medical professionals and links to help. In addition, the interviews have been adapted into audio drama stories which could easily be its own show.
MADIVA podcast is a fantastic resource for actors or drama students, especially those doing voice acting. It's also useful for anyone using their voice regularly in podcasting, while teaching or presenting at work.Sarah presents the topics in a friendly and informative way, and you can take away lots of really invaluable practical guidance from each episode. For people with primary school children, Teddy Stories is a lovely bedtime treat. It's not just a fun story, it also introduces new words (with explanations), and so is educational too, without it taking away from the delightful tales. Highly imaginative, comforting and joyful listening.
I've recently been recommending Anyone F'Coffee to anyone (particularly women, but not exclusively) I can track down and sit on for a few minutes. I love all of QV's content, but this one feels particularly important. It is the most original take on women's health I've ever heard (and as someone in that industry, I've heard a lot), and it's utterly listenable. Yes, that's a word, hush. There are things to laugh at, gasp at, weep over, and definitely SHARE. Help a sister out (or a brother, or a non-binary sibling) and share this content far and wide.
