RATING
If you enjoy good role-playing, good world-building, good fun, and good feelings, then you will love this podcast. Furthermore, Prism Pals will absolutely snag you as a dedicated listener within the first five episodes.I'm really excited to catch up with the story and keep up with the new episodes using the Quest system.
The cast and crew for this are amazingly sincere with their storytelling and roleplay. I was ready to burst into tears by ep4/5. Russ, the story guide, has such an engaging tone and it's matched with just as much energy by the team. Special shoutout to Holland, the team Dad, who is my biased favourite but don't let that undersell Vayu (who nearly had me crying in the aforementioned ep4/5) and Gibs the 10 year old gnome gunslinger (need I say more?)Check this show out - it's beautiful and leaves you feeling warm fuzzies (and it's family friendly!)
A Rainbow Prism Filled With HeartListening to Prism Pals you can instantly get the feeling of how much this project means to the cast, right out the gate they wear their heart on their sleeve and you can really see they put a lot of work into their characters, NPCs, and story to have them shine. Instantly you are swept up in the charming and interesting characters this story revolves around and you find yourself on the edge of your seat whether it is the dangers of a player having a normal conversation with an NPC or a shape shifting monster trying to use a face against you that you would have issues attacking. The world feels very fleshed out and every time they enter a new shop, district, or house it feels like these have always been here and you are comfortably coming home. The story itself while it does have it's more serious moments is filled with a good amount of light hearted cheer and you can't help but find yourself laughing along with the players and GM. If you're looking for a great family friendly story, friends enjoying a game at the table, an inclusive game and world, and plenty of laughter, then I highly recommend this story.
