Good! Yes! Particularly enjoyed season 2, but the quality is consistently excellent.
Deceptively simple. You'd think the short-ish episode format might not give the characters time to grow and thump things? The great radio director/producer Elliot Lewis figured this out in the 1940s and so have the writers/directors responsible for keeping the doors open at the Goblins Head Inn. The whole gang progresses and grows, complete with overcoming some rough road, cringing secrets, and learning to stick together. So besides the great performances and detailed environments, two things are worth noting: Eli McIlveen wrote the theme and it's clear that no matter what the writers think, 'Tessa' who runs the inn, knows the score!
The cutest, most wonderful show where you can end up selling your soul to a demon, hands down !! The voice talent in this show is OVERWHELMINGLY GOOD, & the writing is so dramatic & fantastical in all the ways you want a fantasy to be, without ever being cold or bleak. If you want an ensemble fantasy to fall in love with, listen now !!!
Funny, but really short. The action only happens between podcasts, which is an interesting premise.
Cute, adorable, wonderful. Love these heroes love this show.
I adore the premise, the story, the characters, the message and pretty much everything else about this wonderful hopeful and joyful show full of heart. The knowing winks with D&D references are a personal highlight. Very excited for the next season
What this audio drama presupposes is that the adventuring part where one sword fights with vampires or cockatrices is not as fun as the part where adventurers sit around, lick their wounds, and whinge, banter or bicker. And they are totally right! Oodles and oodles of wit and charm. We get glimpses of the adventure shenanigans at the start or the end of an episode, so it's necessary to listen through the entire episode.
Wow, i do enjoy this one.
Ok the voice actings might not be the best I've ever heard, that said it isn't bad. My only real comaint is that there isn't more of this intoxicating podcast to enjoy!
This is a silly and cute D&D style fiction and a nice low-commitment podcast (You arent left with cliffhangers or edge of your seat stories). I had a lot of fun listening for a while but the magic kind of got lost when they changed casts.
Such a sweet show.. I love the characters and the developments and just everything. Perfect show
A character driven fantasy adventure! I love hanging out with these adventuruers during their downtime, and to see how they evolve and grow together. Can't wait for season 3!
Grab a pint and a table and lets meet at Inn Between. Inn Between has wrapped up their first season and currently working through their second. So if you like this review you can go ahead and binge till you’re caught up. Inn Between Season One is based around a group of five Heroes in their own right who happen to be located inside an Inn. That’s right Inn Between is literally a story about Heroes talking, arguing and even growing a friendship inside of an Inn.Through the first season we see that each episode will start with a Previously On and end in a Next Time On to jaunt your memory if you’re caught up. The thing I love about Inn Between is that though it can feel like an Actual Play Podcast in some situations the creators specifically made Inn Between into an Audio Drama so they can develop characters not just level and strength but with empathy and not be held to the actual play format. This allows for a lot more character interaction allowing us the listener to feel like we’re listening to an actual exchange you’d get from warriors in in Skyrim or on the battlefield of Azeroth. So if you’re looking for a magical adventure with five heroes who seem unlikely to get along but against all odds find they are stronger together than alone look no further than Inn Between.
So so good. I loved every minute of this. Everyone in the party is interesting and I love all of them each with their own little quirks that make my day.
After such a lovely story with the original characters, I was skeptical when the story switched things up..but once I listened I still felt just as drawn into the new characters worlds
I'm not fully caught up yet, but every episode is great fun to listen to and relatively easy to digest in a good way. The characters are compelling and recognizable. The sort of podcast you can put on while wandering aimlessly. Great cast, good vibes.
Who are the heroes when they're not hero-ing? That's the question this show answers, and answers well. The core cast are exactly what happens when you roll up a D&D party; the magic is in their interactions. Every character grows and changes, so while this is a funny show - often very funny - it's also a heartfelt one. Excellent writing and acting. You'll have a favorite pretty quickly. And it's fun, realizing that the point of the show isn't the monsters slain and bounties collected - it's the group of people learning to trust each other and make their places in the world.
Your DnD campaing does not need to break new ground to be good
