My curiosity is thoroughly piqued. Dr. Kingston's story is poignant and the characters resonated with me. The mystery concerning Neal and his brother has me hooked. I can't wait to hear more.
Do the minds behind Fool and Scholar ever sleep? On the eve of the demise of their other properties, as the dust began to settle, without a single breath, they go ahead and drop Don't Mind Cruxmont on us? Well, lucky us! DMC is a great podcast that starts in a way that feels much more like a grounded drama then a show that needs to rely on sensationalism to hook the audience. That's the benefit of the trust Fool and Scholar have built with their audience. The cast is incredible, the writing is fantastic as always, and the sound production is some of the best around, as always. I know I shouldn't want to, but I'd love to spend a day digging about in Cruxmont.
Only a few episodes out and DMC has me completely hooked. The creative forces of Food & Scholar productions (who brought us The White Vault, Liberty, and other spectacular audio offerings) are clearly not breaking stride following the completion of other popular projects. DMC has all of their hallmarks: an international cast, outstanding audio quality including original music and effects, expert editing, and beautiful writing, to say nothing of great performances from a stellar cast. I am so looking forward to seeing where this new story is going and hope it runs for several seasons!
I really enjoyed the pace and tone of Don't Mind Cruxmont. It really takes its time to flesh out the characters and the setting and unravel the story, rather than going for a loud and frantic approach. You feel like you're there in the village, investigating along with the protagonists. The script is well crafted and the voice acting is excellent.
Thank you, great work.. keep it up
I love the way Fool and Scholar tell stories. There is so much detail with the characters and places. You can defiantly tell that they think everything through. So grounded and captivating. Can't wait to see what more Don't Mind stories they come up with.
After the isolation horror and suspense of 'The White Vault', Fool and Scholar Productions turn their hand to a dark tale in the beautiful English countryside. If you've seen 'The Wicker Man', you've got the sense of what's going on here (although don't take that comparison too far, there's more than a few twists and turns in this story). What elevates 'Don't Mind' is the quality of the voice acting and storytelling. This is a really top-quality drama - but then, we would expect nothing less.
